I actually think Favre would be a perfect fit for the Vikings. They are a better team than we are for one, and two their receiving corps is a deep threat speed corps, which plays right into Favre's arm strength, not Penningtons.
Because it is warm weather and he can throw interceptions to his hearts content and it won't really matter because Miami is going to suck with or without him.
The only reason I can see the Jets pursuing Favre is because Woody has a woody for having a franchise QB which will allow them to launch the PSLs and save some face. I'm sure the Jets would tell him we'll sign you as long as you play at least one year into the new stadium.
He also had a pretty good young team around him as well. Without breakout seasons by Ryan Grant, Greg Jennings and Donald Lee Favre doesn't sniff the NFC Title Game.
Its not happening, this is going to be a run first team that is going to try and pound the ball. Not sure Farve would love that. I'd love to have Farve, but I just dont see it happening.
C'mon people...the guy is a top 5 QB in this league...this is a no-fucking brainer!! The Jets FO needs to put together a collective push to try and sign Favre..if and when he becomes a FA. If the CS/FO was confident in our QB situation, there wouldn't be a QB competition upcoming at TC. Can you imagine the potential Brady vs. Favre rivalry in the AFC East!

If Favre can do for the Jets what Montana did for the Chiefs, I'm all for it. Montana played well for Kansas City. The Montana-led Chiefs went 2-2 in postseason play. He took them to the 1993 AFC Championship Game where they lost to Buffalo. A week earlier, the Chiefs won in the House of Pain. Joe Namath in a Rams uniform looked funny. The Rams had a great defense and quality run game at the time, but they had a revolving door at quarterback. They were hoping to get one decent year out of Namath, but he sucked. The most bizarre look for me is Johnny Unitas in a Chargers uniform. For 17 years he wore the Colts crisp, clean, classic uniform. Then for one season he wore a powder blue uniform with lightning bolts on it. Dan Fouts was a rookie for that team. It is interesting to see photos of Unitas and Fouts standing next to one another in the same uniform.
hahahhahahahahaha :up::beer: I've got nothin against Rich but you just owned his ass so bad. He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. Take it from me, I live 20 minutes from GB and have seen Favre every game for about 10 years now and he still has got it. He's still great. It's obvious he would be a HUGE upgrade to any team. Nobody can argue this... they'll just look like an idiot like Rich is right now. With that being said, there's no way we'll get him. My money is on Tampa Bay.
If you don't want Brett Favre on the Jets, you're a fucking moron. This is not debatable. There is no reasoned argument to not want one of the best quarterbacks in the league on your team. Whether it'll actually happen is another story entirely.

FoxSports.com's Jay Glazer and the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel both report that the Packers would "never" release Brett Favre, as he requested Friday. They would rather trade him or make him Aaron Rodgers' backup. Favre won't back up anyone, but the Packers won't just give away Favre for free. Glazer writes that Favre was set to un-retire in late March, with both GM Ted Thompson and coach Mike McCarthy's approval. The Packers even chartered a jet for Favre to announce his return, but Favre changed his mind yet again two days before the scheduled announcement. The Packers then smartly decided to move on. This helps explain the team's motivations and why they will continue to play hardball. Jul. 11 - 5:37 pm et Source: FoxSports.com A trade for Favre works in the Jets' advantage, as Green Bay could choose his destination.
I don't think that's necessarily true. There is a train of thought that Favre coming to the Jets would be pissing away Clemens future (obviously you have to believe Clemens has a future). In this sense it is a bad long term move considering the Jets are not a Super Bowl ready team yet.
I don't see how I got owned? The guy is the All Time Interceptions leader.... look at is years previous to 2007 In 06 he threw 19 and in 05 he threw 29..... 29 fucking picks.... 17 and 21 in the 04 and 03 seasons. Compare that to the Jets as a team who threw 19, 17, 15 and 11. Take off you Packer goggles and look at reality
You get Brett Favre and then they have a chance to win the Super Bowl. Not an unbelievably high one, but a better one than right now (zero). This isn't rocket science.
You got owned because you said one thing when the exact opposite was shown to be true, proving yourself to be a fucking tool.
Again, if your developing Clemens to be your Super Bowl QB, one or two more years on the bench is not going to help. You're going to set the team back if Favre doesn't pan out. Considering some of the players we brought in, that would be foolish. Favre would have to come in and WIN the Super Bowl. So much as a Super Bowl loss would be a total failure with that move.
