Somewhere out there, south of the Tri-State, there's a young man. That poor soul is thinking to himself It's just me against the world...

    And he's right.

for me, he totally ruined it. I have been preaching to all my friends that Tampa has 0 staying power. They will fade off in the second half, as historically the Sox and Yanks do what they do best. Win games when it counts. That road schedule in the 2nd half of the season will be mighty tough for the Rays, which suggests that the Rays could be looking at maybe, just maybe a .500 2nd half of the season. And I could care less now. Instead of rooting for the Rays to make a nice run at it, and for the Yanks to just take the Wildcard, I will be rooting for the Sox and the Rays to both choke on a dick. Thanks TampaBayDooshBiscuit. Its all because of you...

btw, I know you are reading this. You're GF is a man giant. Either that, or youre puny

A .500 second half record they'll win over 90 games and cruise into the playoffs as at least the wild card. Chances are they will be better than .500 and seriously challenge for the division.

Jeez, why such hate for the guy? Sure he was annoying, but he's hardly unique in that regard, and that was more than offset by the massive comic possibilities laden in every post.

His week and a half of living hell was very entertaining by me. I'll miss the rapscallion.

Only idiots think like that. For intelligent people, it makes sense to root against the team directly ahead of them in the standings.

Is it me, or is Jeter quietly getting really hot at the plate lately?

Alio's getting excited it looks like. I wish I could join him in his Yankee excitement. Girardi's screamfest vs. the Sox was sweet though. and the 5-0 win yesterday.

I'm not surprised. This is a contract year after all...

That is, of course, assuming that he actually DID stop.

I'm really an emotional rollercoaster when it comes to the Yankees. While I'm a football fan first, and a Jets fan second, I'm a Yankees fan, first and only. I can watch any football game, regardless of who is playing. I will only watch Yankees games though. Any other team holds no interest for me. I wouldn't take that much from my comments one way or the other.

I know you're kidding, but I'm really starting to wonder about Hughes.

Eh, I've never put any credence into the whole "contract year" argument.

I think he's off the juice. If you look at him, he's clearly leaner than in years past, plus has far more flexibility than he has in years.

I truthfully think he's still on something. The man could not hit a baseball at all for an extended period after his cheating came out, and was on the verge of being out of the league. Then suddenly he started hitting again. That's just WAAAAY too big a coincidence to me.
