One of Smith or Elam will step up...preferably Smith.

    Anticipate any training camp surprises?

Well, if you could anticipate them, I suppose they wouldn't be surprises. But here are a few things that would surprise me:

    1) Baker still being with the team at the start of TC.
    2) Pennington earning the starting QB job.
    3) Gholston not earning a starting position.
    4) Keller not earning a starting position.
    5) Stuckey not earning the #3 WR spot.
    6) Ben Graham losing his starting position.
    7) Jenkins showing up weighing 400 lbs.
    8) Brad Smith not making the roster (as some have speculated).
    9) Schottenheimer not simplifying (to some extent) his playbook for Clemens.
    10) Schottenheimer not implementing smash-mouth, in-your-face, power running plays.
    11) Mangini putting up with any more Kendall-like, disruptive situations this year.
    12) Mike Nugent not finally finding enough "ass" to kick touchbacks when he needs to.
    13) Mike Westhoff not having at least some input in Special Teams.

Wont be a surprise to me, but it will to those Jets fans that don't know his potential and definitely to the dumb Titans for giving up on him..... Andre Woolfolk will start opposite Darelle Revis....:metal::cool::up:

the biggest surprise will be getting some sort of compensation for baker. we obviously have to get rid of him but i dont think we cut him. i think they find some team willing to deal with him and get something of value back

Clemmens wins battle, breaks wrist against g-men and chad tears achilles in first game, leaving Ainge taking us to superbowl, and then baker dumping gatorade on the penguin!

I kind of like this scenario!

  8. I'll highlight some TC battles(aside from the ever mentioned QB of course)

    1. D-Line- We've got some intriguing young talent sitting behind the incumbent starters. Coleman and at this point Ellis are solid but unspectacular. I wouldn't be surprised if a guy like Pouha, Devitto or Mosley earn a starting spot.

    2. O-line- Not to the degree of that of the D-line..but at OT there is some young talent in Bender, Garner and Hunter. If one those guys shows promise in TC, do not be suprised to see Woody and Moore battle it out at RG and we have a bookend to pair w/ Brick long term.

    3. Cornerback- There is a TON of competition in the defensive backfield. The only occupied starting spots are Rhodes and Revis. Everything else is up for grabs. And there's some talent...especially at CB.
CB's fighting for a spot: Miller, Coleman, Poteat, Woolfolk(A real sleeper)Hawkins & Barrett

    4. Wide Reciever- Stuckey and smith are gonna battle for the # 3 spot...and unless we carry 6 recievers either Morgan or Wallace Wright(who is a great special teamer) are gonna be out of the job or snuck through waivers to join the PS.

I considered arguing with you on this, but you'd make me say "uncle," and you'd win.

I'd be shocked if that undercover Dolphins fan returns to try and scout the formations.

Bill Belichick is nabbed by Hofstra security police hunched in the back of a box van with blacked out windows videotaping Clemens taking reps.

I would not be supprised if Marcus Henry makes alot of noise during camp. He runs good routes and has a large frame and very good hands. He may not make it up to #3 but I can see him on the opening day roster.

In response to a Jets fan and GG Member named "Gator," the NY Jets decide the current stadium needs men's room attendants as a prelude to the attendants that will be on duty in the new, upscale, state-of-the-art stadium that will open in 2010.

In a stunning Training Camp move, Chris Baker's contract is surprisingly renegotiated. He signs for three years and is immediately assigned the title "Men's Room Attendant Supervisor."
