I very well may start a keeper league this season. The settings would not veer too far away from default settings. I am a fan of individual defensive players. I want the settings to be good. I do not want to have to alter stuff from year to year, like the NFL does with its rules. If you would be interested, let me know in this thread. If there are certain things you'd like to see in the league (a particular stat category or something), now is the time to let me know. I just had problems with a midseason baseball live draft on Yahoo. I was booted from my computer four times. I would hate to see this happen to me or anyone else, so I think I would conduct an offline draft. If all the league members come from TGG, we would conduct the draft in this thread. It would take a week or two, I suppose.
I love fantasy football and have always been interested in doing a keeper league too. I am coming off of my first championship season so I feel like I would bring some good competition to the league. I too am a fan of the individual defensive players. (We do it every year in our league.) The only problem is I prefer playing fantasy football for free unless we are playing for money. I'm the same way. If I go the Yahoo PLUS route, I'd have to pay $125, I think. I would do this so that the league would have Stat Tracker and I would have additional options as commissioner, such as creating divisions. I would hope league members would chip in for the cost. We would be looking at $10-15 per person. I am entering year 5 of a keeper league and this is how the commish runs that particular league. It works. The league winner would get their choice of a trophy or t-shirt from Yahoo.
I pay for CBS every year so I am biased, but since I'm playing in Tud's league on Yahoo, if we ended up in Yahoo, I'd probably pay the extra $10 or whatever...never been in a keeper league, but been in the top every year after the first one so I think I'm qualified. a.k.a. I wanna play My one vote is no PPR...cause it gives unfair advantage to catching RBs who are the most valuable players already. P.S. if we're gonna pay to play, let's put at least a hundred in the pot...that's total, and not a lot
does anybody know how to start a yahoo fantasy keeper league..do u have to pay for it, it says free but i cant find the link to it...any help would be great, thanks
bump I would like to get everything figured out by July 4th. Immediately after that holiday weekend (Monday, July 7) is when I'd like to start the draft- that is if the league consists of all TGG members. We'd conduct the draft right here over a few weeks as opposed to doing a 2-hour live draft in late August. What worries me about a live online draft is if one or more people suffers a computer problem or has a late change in plans and has to miss the draft. I'd hate to see someone join a keeper league, which may involve some sort of money, and have problems with the draft. The league would consist of 10 or 12 teams. I prefer football leagues to have 12 teams, but I might go with only 10 for a few years. If the league has 10 solid coaches/teams then we would expand to 12 teams.
Hey man I am very interested in a keepers league and have been for sometime. I am all for pitching in money and shit too. I am however going on of the country late July to early augest tho which sucks, but if you were to do a draft soon after the 4th or sometime AFTER preseason I'm down for sure. Just sucks to draft before preseason and have your top draft pick out for the year from a freak injury. But yah man I'm real interested.

I will look to decide on settings before this weekend is over. It is still possible that the draft would be a live one conducted one night in late August. I am going to look into cbssports.com Fantasy Football Commissioner. The league will be run through cbssports.com or Yahoo.

I have decided it will be a free league. That's all I've got right now. I'll set up the league before next weekend.
I have slept for an average of 4 hours the entire week. As a result, I am not 100%. I will finally get some rest tomorrow. I'm looking to spend the 4th at home the whole day and night. Barring any ridiculousness, I should have info for you all tomorrow.

I have the league set up at Yahoo. Currently, I have it set for an offline draft. I would go with a live draft if the majority wants it. We'll discuss it on the league board. I sent out e-mails to Murrell2878 and KellenandtheJets. I'll PM the others.
