nothing wrong with losing to the worst team in baseball. with our 20 million dolla ace going. right..
Written like a true NY Rangers fan. (I have no idea what that means. I'm just writing shit to write shit.)
As I mentioned before, I was "lucky" enough to go...the stadium's reaction when Felix hit that HR was unlike anything I've ever seen. It was more shock and dismay than anything. We didn't know what to do...and then people just started booing. I think that sums up the Mets '08 season so far: Surprise and confusion, followed by anger. Johan has been a terrible disappointment. I would say he and Wright are enemies #1 and 2 right now, in some order. Reyes has turned it on, Beltran is at least trustworthy, and no one has expectations for Delgado at this point (I repeatedly told my friend at the game I was confident Delgado would strike out against Rhodes, a lefty). They still have time to turn it around, a la the Astros after Jimy Williams was fired, but I'm not putting any money on it. Or for that matter, vCash.
This was inevitable, of course. You've been ridiculous about this stuff for months, of course, but now you've graduated to full-fledged troll. You've conspicuously posted with complaints in 2 of the 3 losses under Manuel, but were nowhere to be found in any of the 3 wins. It is obvious that you are rooting for the Mets to fail, since in your delusional world that will somehow "prove" that you were right about Willie.
Apparently Hernandez literally just closed his eyes and swung at the ball. It was out of the strike zone. I think that luck pretty much sums up what these guys have been getting all season (not that luck is to blame for all their woes, however).
David Wright is expected to be held out of the starting lineup for the first time this season on Tuesday. Manager Jerry Manuel is planning on sitting him after he made a costly error last night. "Jerry knows the game. I'll get a blow and hopefully come back refreshed," said the always diplomatic Wright. Fernando Tatis will start at third base. Source: New York Post
Lighten up Nancy, I posted a freaking picture. I'm as die hard of a Mets fan as you'll ever find, but I can't take this jackass running this team. Until he's fired, I refuse to support this team.
I'm waiting for Ollie to hit Mr. Met with a wild pitch. Like that scene in Bull Durham when Nuke Larouche hits the Bulls' mascot.
Well there is some emotion from this team, that's nice to see. The number of major league caliber bats in the lineup going from 2 to 1 because of it is not so nice.
Now that Beltran's ejected, this has to be the worst line-up the Mets have fielded in some time. Just wow. I'm close to writing this game off...And with it, the series. After taking 4 of 6 in LA and Colorado, I thought we were turning it around. Guess not.
