Cmon now you do not mean what you posted. BOTH teams are funding the cost of building the new stadium on a 50/50 bases which is the reason for both teams to have there own PSLs

It would seem it is cheaper to just purchase tickets for games you really want to attend?

For example, can you do that on stubhub? Maybe that is the future.

The advent of PSL's may also end free TV for some home games. There is only so much of the pie to go around for the average family. Sooner or later average Jet fans will not be able to afford to buy tickets. Woody and the Mara's/Tisch's are just plain "robber barons" just like Exxon and other big monopolies. There is one plus side to those on a waiting list for Season Tickets plan on being called sometime late this year or early 2009 to purchase your PSL.

I agree. There is the potential that these corporate faggots will ruin this sport, too.

I just recently put my name on the waiting list. Did I just make a mistake?

I know I can afford the $50-something tickets in the upper decks now, but if I have to pay $8 grand PER seat to just outright own it, I don't think I'll be able to afford that.

There aren't any 50 something tickets for Jet games that I know of. My tickets are about 65 a pop, and I'm pretty sure they're the cheapest in the stadium.

That's what I meant. My bad. But yeah, I'm just not getting this whole PSL thing. If they're meant to be purchased to outright own you seat, what happens if you don't wanna buy season tickets for 1-2 year(s)? Are you automatically protected since you own those seats? Or do they force you to sell ur PSL back to the stadium if you can't find someone to sell it/transfer it to, just to get other folks on the waiting list a chance?

The cheapest I thought was $75 which is what I pay in Sec 314. Its a bargain, especially with what's coming. Boy, If the Jets stink up the place this year, good luck Woodie trying to sell your new stadium to your tic holders. I heard PC Richard has buy now, pay later, zero interest on HDTV's

You have to log out and then back in under the other name, champ.

As for the PSLs, it's my opinion that most fans will be able to get individual game tickets on the resale market for about the same price as they do now, after the first season or two when the novelty of the new place wears off. I may be one of them.

What's sad is that being a Jets season ticket holder wasn't about who could afford them, it was about tradition, history, and family. It was years and years of Jets fans getting together, and rooting on their team. It was a pride thing to say I had season tickets...Now, Woody has turned this into a status symbol. It's a shame...I'm giving the Jets the benefit of the doubt right now, but if these PSL rumors are true, the parking lot (or whats left of it) will be for Mercedes, BMW, and Lexus's only. The average fan can no longer deal with this...THANK GOD FOR HDTV. For the price of one PSL, you can get yourself a nice 65 inch TV. I'm hoping this cannot be true...Hoping to wake up and the high priced PSL's were just a dream.

I agree. Especially for a team that hasn't won much in 40 years, it's a die-hard community of hardcore people who get together. Sucks to see it being turned into a country club.

what i dont get, and i know someone mentioned it earlier, is how the psl works with other events. everywhere where there is a psl, you get first crack at your seat for other events, like concerts. how does this work with a 2 team split? especially since its a 50 50 split. personally, i think its complete and utter garbage if this perk (the only perk really) of a psl is not in effect due to this situation.

That is a real mans admission. Remember he was forewarning all of us of Woodys money snatching goals. Nobody listen then & all he got was abuse from everybody. Maybe when he was flashing the warning signals if more would have listen could be today us "regular" fans would not be in the position we are

I don't think the PSL really has any bearing on other events, other than the NY Jets. Lets say Springsteen is in town, or you want to see the college football kickoff classic, I'm pretty sure you buy tickets like anyone else...There really would be no fair way to handle that situation, given two people (Jets fans + blue blood Giants fans) own the same seat.

the two owners is what makes this whole thing a big pile of you know what. that is why it works in other places but wont work here (well it will but it wont work for most real fans)

Two of the highest revenue football teams combining their pool, combined with the largest government grant ever, and NO DOME ON THE STADIUM!!! This is highway robbery.

oh no...why would we want a roof, and the possibility of having a super bowl? Not that I like the Cowboys in any way whatsoever, but look at this stadium? It looks incredible. It will cost the Cowboys $1BILLION (ours is close to double that somehow??), and they have the Superbowl slated for 2011 already.
