we get back to back good pitching performences, and decide were not gonna fucking hit, is there gonna be any good hitters available at the trading deadline?
the mets should be sellers by the trading deadline. they should be able to get something for wagner at least.
c'mon you know this regime, if were 2,3,4,5,6 games out of the division or the wild card, they will be buyers, what was the name of that ss we got yesturday? he probaly wont be in the farm system for to long
of course they will, because the Mets have a pair of timid faggots as owners who have left the day to day baseball operations in the hands of mr affirmative action hire youknowwhatimsayin who evaluates players off what they did 5 years ago. i'm sure the mets will add some more washed up should be retired pieces of trash and trot them out there on a daily basis. but hey, what do the wilpons care about having a good team their pathetic liberal dicks get hard at the sight of such a diverse front office, managing staff and roster. and they can't fire them, because that would be wrong.
in about 2, or 3 years, this organazation is gonna feel the ramifacation of the moves they have made, mike jacobs for delgado doesnt look to good right now either
Fred Wilpon donated to Bush's 2004 presidential campaign, and has donated to Peter King's re-election campaign this year. Doesn't sound too liberal to me, although he does seem to like Schumer. George Steinbrenner, on the other hand, has given lots of money to Democrats over the years, including Hillary Clinton (although he seems to have a soft spot for Rudy Giuliani - I wonder why? :wink.
So maybe he's afraid of the backlash if he lets them go. Point is, the guy sucks. My hatred for the organization and most of the players is so off the charts at this point I don't really care. I'm trying to remember a sports team as miserable to watch as this Mets team. The 93 team is probably close as they had the same awful mix of lazy, overpaid veterans. I can take losing but watching this bunch of joyless bums ho-hum it day in and day out really takes it out of you as a fan. That's what's so great about football, even when you're the worst team in the league, hey, it's still football and it's only 16 games. The thought of suffering through another 100 odd games with this bunch fills me with a nameless dread.
I remember back in the offseason saying that we desperately needed to upgrade our offense, well here is the same garbage that we have seen for 2 years now, we needed a consistent cleanup hitter to protect Beltran and give our offense a true meat of the order, instead as 3rd eloquently put it we have tank sized holes in our lineup. Personally I don't care if he is a lefty or a righty so long as it is better than some of these bums we have grace the middle of our lineup on almost a daily basis.
3rd, why do you keep posting angry ass shit and watching these games when its clear that its just making you a miserable person? we fuckin get it, you're pissed at the way this team is run and the way the mets are playing.
Lets be fair, any diehard Mets fan would be miserable at this rate, this is probably the worst kind of team for a fan they aren't great so the highs aren't great, and they aren't beyond hoprrible so the feelings of the season could be numbed out very quickly, instead it is the torturing yo-yo act of the high-low roller coaster that only takes you to a .500 mediocre craphole.
thats correct. i came home drunk last night and read the tgg recap of the game because i missed it and i just got angry. i retract that statement 3rd.
that's the bad things about these west coast weekend night games, alcohol is probably going to be a factor at some point. the castillo stuff in the first inning just set the tone for the entire game, it's pretty discouraging when the starting pitcher and his friend is the only one to say something to him about it too. i don't wanna hear about what willie does "behind closed doors" either there are quite a few players on the team that could do with getting shown up publically. if only to shake up the laissez fair veteran entitlement attitude that has plagued the team the last year and a half. i'm hoping for ollie to "lose one" high and tight today and spark a bench clearing brawl. after the bush league celebration on thursday and what happened to santana last night a retaliation from the opposing team would almost be a forgone conclusion but we know the mets don't operate that way.
cant take the terrible roster management by this team, casanova back up, sill carrying 3 catchers.. church unavailable again but just sits there as a wasted spot, nunez fucking stinks and hes here fucking unbelivable. send down casanova and nunez, bring up valentin and pasucci.. DL church and activate alou church has been a waste of a roster spot since his injury so with him and a useless 3rd catcher we're basically playing with a 23 man roster. whenever chruch and alou are healthy.. reyes beltran wright church (as long as he keeps hitting lefties, or else he wont be able to protect wright) alou delgado valentin schnieder pitch
I just saw that flea commercial again! I've probably seen it over 30 times now and it never gets old.
Just listened to Willie on Mike and the Mad Dog on Thursday. Literally a breath after he says that they have to take it easy with Alou because they need him to stay in the lineup after this he says that Church has to "suck it up and get after it a little". I wonder if he even realizes that he coddles "vets" at all costs and is borderline disrespectful to other "younger" guys on the team.
