I know I am asking for trouble but its the off season and I am done with Chad Kellen debate. Personally I cant stand Jason Taylor. Loved when he cried after we kicked their ass years ago. I also love that he hates our Jets Chant. I guess it was working. I read where he is done in Miami. Now I dont know cap room and all the other stuff. But would anybody else like him on our team. I was thinking he would be pissed at Miami. We do need a pass rushing defensive end. I dont know I guess I am thinking out loud cause I hate the guy so much so it would be hard dealin with him in Jet green. But if it gives us a better chance to win...screw it. Guess it is like the whole Damon on the Yankees thing ...still not used to that. He would definetly have something to prove. And I am sure he has something left in the tank. If we could sign him to a cheap short deal(which we prolly can't) I would do it. There I said it. I feel like I am in a foxhole waiting for the shells to start falling. But what the hell its friggin May....INCOMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! take cover

Jason Taylor will never, ever be a Jet. He hates us, we hate him. It's that simple. Rivalry aside, the only way he'd come here is if we traded something along the lines of a 2nd to the Fins. And on top of that, he'd want a giant contract.
It would be counter-productive to sign Taylor, and keeping Mangini and Tannnenbaum's ideals in mind, it would never happen.

I wouldn't mind having him around. He's an all-pro DE, why the heck wouldn't you want that on your team. And he has a passion to win. Sounds like a winning combo to me. It's amazing how the color green can change players feelings.

You hate players when they are on the opposing team. You cheer them when they are on YOUR team.

As of right now, Jason Taylor can suck my butt. If he becomes a Jet, he won't have to.

I stand by my previous decision: I would welcome Jason Taylor on to the Jets with open arms. He would have to lead the Flight Crew in cheers and would only see the field as a kneeling QB and he would occasionally be forced to block larger nose tackles when we are up in the fourth quarter.

With that said, I guess I sorta wouldn't mine. As long as we don't have to give an arm and 2 legs for him.

I'd take him on our team in a heartbeat!!! Can you imagine the depth at OLB. Gholston, Pace, Taylor and Thomas!!!!! We'd be able to rush the passer like hell with that combo!!! We'd be straight takin other teams lunches!!!!!

If he can become Bryan Cox ver. 2.0, I'm all for it.

*True, Cox wasn't hated THIS much...*

Taylor trashes Jets fans, but it would be far from the first time a hated player went to that team. That all being said...

    1. Unless Miami cuts him, there's no chance we could get him because they simply wouldn't deal him to us.
    2. Where does he fit in the 3-4?

being a 4-3 de i really dont see him fitting on the jets.. thank god

i would be disgusted to have him on the team i root for. i dont know the man but i really really have a distaste for him. he is one of only a few guys in the league i wouldnt want on the jets no matter what. the only other i can think of this second is shockey.

    He would be a OLB.

    Here?s why this won?t happen:

    1. They won?t deal with us.
    2. They want a 2nd, which he?s not worth because of age.
    3. We don?t have the Caproom to play him.
    4. We already have Pace, BT and Gholston at OLB.

Wow 17 posts and no one has lambasted me yet. Cool It was just a thought . I tend to agree. I dont think I would have liked Gastineau had he not been a Jet. So I could see why I might change my mind real easy if I saw Taylor in Green planting Brady a few times. I was thinking from what I read that Fins are pissed and they just want him gone.Someone could get a dreal for him till cooler heads prevail. It said he tore a bicep in that dance thing and that he wont make training camp. (see Michael Strahan school of dodging training camp). Imagine if he ends up in New England. Then I would have to hate him more. Frankly I don't think thats possible.

So let me get this straight...he plays football for over a decade and tears his bicep doing a two-step?

I think I'm one of the few Jets fans that doesn't mind Taylor and the Dolphins. I hate the Pats so much more. With that, I wouldn't mind having Taylor on the team as he is great from year to year and doesn't take a play off. He is superior to any end on our line and with him on our defense, if it ever happened, we would be top 5 if the rest of the additions fell into place

    Also,

He would fit in the 3-4 as the DE. He's 6-6 and could add 15-20 pounds and be able to take on 2 men. He's a physical freak
