Delgado is gone next year. Heilman will probably be gone before the end of the season. Beltran isn't going anywhere.

Blame gets tossed at the manager because it's one of the cheapest and easiest things to change. I don't know why the Mets constantly show up flat and lifeless to games, but that's supposed to be the managers purview.

funny, the so called experts like Mike and Russo constantly dog Met fans for being fickle or too hard on the team/manager etc......

well a holes, this is exactly why. come off a nice mini sweep of the Yanks with Pettite and Wang pitching and get shut down by Glavine and lose yet again the the effin Braves.

so much for the good will.......lose 3 out of 4 to this team and we should all be screaming for his head again. (and you can bet your ass they lose again tonite because it's such an 08 Mets thing to do)

and FITM...usually I'm not a fire the coach/manger type of fan......but this is ridiculous, this team and manager

This is really disgusting, losing to One Third Glavine and all.

Where was this Tom Glavine when he pitched in Flushing? He was dominant today...

Oh and it woulda been nice to see the Tom Glavine that gave up 7 runs to the Marlins in a 1/3 of an inning in the most important game of the season.

I think it was more crappy Met offense than a good Tom Glavine

This was pretty predictable I thought, I think the fans know this team better than the manager does.

even more predictable, having an awful hitter in the 2 spot bites us in the ass once again.

What a pathetic joke this team is.

And now it looks like Church is hurt as he got kicked in the head.

i suppose that depends on your definition of capable. if church is out for an extended period of time the lineup is going to be in even more trouble, no matter which .500 OPS bench player gets stuck out there.

Here's the update on Church from mlb.com. Given that it's a mild concussion it doesn't seem sure that he'll be put on the DL.
