Beltran and Anderson the only starters to go hitless. (why Anderson was starting is something I can't figure out. What about Endy? Tatis?)

    What a catch by Melky.

    Mets K only twice.

Cashman out would be music to my ears...

    Giambi(21mil), Pettitte(15mil) Moose(12mil), Farnsworth(7mil), Pavano(10mil) all comes off the books...

That's 65 million that will be off the payroll...And Abreu has a 17million player option....So, potentially, their can be 82 million off the payroll...Of that group, I only see Abreu being kept, so we'll say 65 million.

Giradi has to be kept, you can't rid Torre the way they did and just bail on Girardi, he has to open The House That George Built.

    Last place...Pathetic.

Once they lost out on Santana...And I LOVE how I get blasted for wanting to give up a POTENTIAL prospect in Phil Hughes for a 2-time Cy Young winner in his Prime...

Pettitte had to be kept, then shit hits the fans with his HGH and you knew he was going to be sub-par this season...But if Andy retired, you'd be going into Opening Day with Wang-Moose-Hughes-Kennedy...??Igawa?

i refuse to get excited over a couple games with this team, we've already seen it several times this year where they've put little runs together only to follow it up with shit performance. i think that's what makes the team so frustrating, that they give us glimpses of the team we think they should be.

exactly. they win enough games to keep themselves just above .500 when the requisite losing streak against bad teams comes.

And the cashman supporters love to blame Tampa for Igawa....like steinbreener flew to fuck osaka to watch this guy pitch for the maki rolls.....cashman has had an open checkbook for how many years now? And most of the cashman supporters were torre bashers saying anyone could win with the teams he had. im not disouting that but how come it doesnt work both ways when cashman has had no budget restraints for his entire time here.
