Really for a team that was deemed the greatest team of all time* , it doesn't matter if it ends in Feb or October because that loss is the biggest failure in the history of sports. Keep believing that bs that came out of your keyboard.

According to Brady and BB the season is a failure if you don't win the SB. At least that's what they said BEFORE the game.

C'mon man, admit it, everyone in NY wanted DMC, that's all we heard for the last month on this board before the draft, you guys were sitting there at the 4th pick, hoping and just hoping that crazy Al drafted Dorsey (which he should have done btw, freakin idiot), BUT I was glad he kept DMC out of green and white, as a Patriot fan, do you think we wanted to deal with DMC twice a year.........NO

We came out of this draft with Jerod Mayo (Patrick Willis twin), Shawn Crable and a very fast, athletic corner in Wheatley who will slide into a starting slot in 09 and will redshirt behind the Ty Law/Fernando Bryant spot this year. Kevin O'Connell was a steal, the experts love him, 6'6" big, big arm, extremely athletic kid who will instantly take over the #2 spot and obviously will be groomed to take over for Tommy Trophy after he walks into the sunset with his SB trophies and Greatest QB of all time tag. All in all, we're not complaining in Beantown, our only issue right now are the Sox losing 5 straight........................

I don't really think anybody on this board has any clue as to which players the team's F.O's wanted but didn't get.

This thread title doesn't even make sense. "Stocking up on players" makes no sense. There's only 53 roster spots, nobody can stockpile the numbers on them.

Unfortunately for Jet's fans the legacy of this Patriots team is ongoing. When all is done, I'm guesssing they will have at least 4 rings, the only 16-0 regular season in nfl history and multiple record breaking winning streaks. What have the Jets accomplished? One SB win before 95% of you were even born. You should all be looking forward to the summer when the Pats make their cuts, that's when the jets roster improves.

4 years and fading including the biggest big game choke in NFL history last year and a top 5 NFL choke the year before in the AFC finals. The cherry on top lossing the chance to trade up to get a real impact player in this draft because you got caught cheating against a 4 & 12 team and tainted the entire SB run. The Pats have gone from a potential dynasty to a league embarasement.

It's nice that whenever the pissing contest between Jets and Pats fans gets going all sides come out sounding completely logical.

Dont you have a pats board you can go on to spew your New England Shit. Face it, the Patriots cheated. If the jets were charged a FIRST ROUND draft pick for cheating. You pats fans would be saying how unfair of an advantage we had. Hell, maybe a few of those rings could have been ours if we STOLE AND VIDEOTAPED ALL THE DEFENSES SIGNS

Listen up you arrogant faggot...First of all get your head out Tom Brady's Ass so you can hear me. You're level wasn't enough to beat the New York Giants when it counted most. Our Qb's aren't stiffs by any stretch and YOUR FRANCHISE GOT LUCKY WITH BRADY, teams always take qbs in the later rounds and every once and a while you find a hidden gem ala Brady. get off your high horse before i beat you off of it. I hate you and and everyone of you goddam patriots fans. I can't wait till we break Brady this year.

Yea...Tom Brady was born the QB he has become...it wasn't ridiculously hard worked under very good coaches that did that. He was simply destined to be great, just like all good QBs.

The Pats franchise as a whole has nothing to do with Brady's development.

You're right. It's ongoing...and going on down the shitter with every passing day. Turns out that the smoke and mirrors Bill Belichick was supposedly using to turn his group of overachievers into champions were actually spies and lenses. When all is said and done, I'm guessing they'll have a couple of black eyes and an incomplete 16-0 season with a glaring 1 attached to the epilogue. Look on the brightside, though. When Bill is gone and you cease to be relevant any longer, at least you can take solace in the fact that you'll always be remembered...in the same breath as the Black Sox, Tim Donaghy, and Barry Bonds.

It's funny how people used to like New England sports so they could like something other than the Yankees-Jets/Giants, but now most neutral fans hate them. People used to like the lovable loser Red Sox fans. Now they've been in the spotlight for years, and the lovable part is largely gone. Sure, some fans are alright, and only some of the Red Sox and Patriots' players are scum, but as far as the Pats are concerned, there's a reason why so many people are rejoicing over New York winning a Super Bowl. Bill Bellichick is scum. Tom Brady is a sore loser. And, how could we forget, the Patriots cheated.

It's also funny how some sportswriters are blinded by the Patriots. McConnell is the perfect example. Spending a 3rd round pick on a backup QB when Cassell is supposed to be pretty good isn't genius. McConnell, who was the #11 QB according to NFLDraftCountdown, and I didn't see him ranked too much higher than that, is now considered a "steal" and a "great pick." What the hell? I thought he would have been a good 5th round pick, maybe a 4th. Mayo was considered a late 1st for a while, and mocks who had him going in the middle of the first considered him a reach. Now he's considered a great pick. Wheatley's a great athlete, but he's small and can't tackle too well. I had never even heard of Slater.
