I wanted Jonathan Goff also. Goff was one of my favorite players in this draft, would have been great next to Harris. Not addressing ILB was a major flaw today.

I think wit Goff we would of be set in the middle and could of been our tandem of a Marvin Jones and Mo Lewis of the future. either that or we got us a young big DT so Kris Jenkins could groom him...But i guess we still have FA signings and Supplemental Draft

Ainge is a much better pick than Goff. Goff was a nice player, but I don't think he's a guy who could have come in and started right away. I think that ILB is a much easier position to fill than QB. Ainge is a heady, polished passer who I liked as much as almost any quarterback in this draft. He played great competition, put up very nice numbers, and won a lot of games. With an NFL weight training program and a solid supporting cast, he could be a bigtime QB. Goff looks more like a tough solid fringe starter.

The simple answer is that they liked Ainge more than they liked him. I guess Ainge carried a higher grade.Maybe they gambled that he will be undrafted and then they can get him. They can certainly target a few undrafted free agents.I hear Jay Lehman was not drafted.

Is this Goff related to Mike Goff, Guard with Cincinnatti? Mike Goff is a nasty player and would love to have got someone from this family tree.

Do not understand it. We need to get someone prepared to take over for Barton soon. I liked Goff as the 2nd best player in a 3-4 scheme behind Mayo. He is big, strong, and can SHED BLOCKS. I liked beau bell as well and he went earlier, but there is no reason to not pick Goff.

We're going to have to suck pretty bad to be a spot to land Laurinaitis. He should be a Top 5 pick along with USC's linebacker Rey Maualuga.

Hey, we could always trade up! Seriously, we've already drafted three OSU players in three years of Tangini. I'm sure he's high on everybody's list.

I remember ESPN said that the Jets had Ainge rated as a 3rd round prospect... for what its worth.
