No matter how these guys turn out for the Jets, Tannenbaum has to stop giving away our picks.

If they end up like a Chad Jackson while we trade up and get legit starters, then that is fine with me.

Again, NE kept 1 out of 9 draft picks from last season. Thats HORRIBLE. What good is having a bunch of picks if they all turn out to be trash? Why would you want them to change what they're doing if it's working?

2 of the 9 Patriots draft choices last year made their roster...good think they stock-piled those picks.

stocking means nothing if you don't keep them. I venture to say the Jets retaining percentage of players is as good as any if not better.

They'll just lose them again for cheating.

It's a numbers game, guys. If you draft 10 players, there's a good chance that at least one of them will become a star.

Dennis Miller once had a crack about K-Mart's sales, about but one, get one free sales. "Two of sh*t is still sh*t."

In a perfect world, you'd have a lot of picks and make a lot of good choices. But because it's unrealistic to expect a 6th and 7th rounder to consistently make an impact on your team, I'd rather have a few really good players (see Revis and Harris) than a lot of so-so players.

The fact that the Patsies just picked Kevin O'Connell QB from San Diego State pisses me off.

    Fuck the Patriots!

    Exactly... Great point.

Last year's draft class for NE was bad at a new level. That might come back and hurt them.

Exactly, I'd rather get 2 good players who can start from Day 1 then 10 picks that don't make the team.

  14. The Patriots draft shouldnt thrill anyone. Mayo maybe a thumper inside..but the 2 guys they really wanted(Harvey and Rivers) got nabbed right in front of them. Mayo was a huge reach and couldve been had 10 picks later.

Crable is a solid OLB, but is strictly a 2 down guy w/ very little athleticism.

    This.

I couldnt care less what the Patriots do, basically they got amazingly lucky with Brady and if it wasnt for that incredible fluke they wouldnt be anything right now.

Do me a favor. Go find an honest Patriot fan and ask him if he would hesitate to trade the Pats' draft yield in '07 for the Jets'.

"Do me a favor. Go find an honest Patriot fan and ask him if he would hesitate to trade the Pats' draft yield in '07 for the Jets'."

You do realize that we drafted Randy Moss with our 4th round pick, Wes Welker with our 2cond round pick and one of our first round pick for Jarod Mayo (our SF trade last year). The 07 draft must include these players. Unlike Mangini, we don't trade away our entire drafts for 2 players every year.

  19. Don't forget that draft day is usually the day piolli and Bellichick go to best buy and circuit city looking for the new camera models for the sidelines.

Enjoy mediocrity for the next 5 years with those 2 stiff QB's you have. You'll never to get our level. Nice reach also with the Keller pick and I was jumping around the living room when the Raiders ruined your day and took DMC.
