All of the WR's had questions why choose another, why did all of of those other teams pass up on the WR's keller is gonna be a beast Franks blocks, Keller catches Baker gets cut. Choosin a WR in the 1st in the draft is probably the most riskiest thing to do.
These are the WR's that have been chosen in the past 3 years in the 1st 2 rounds excluding '07
All those in bold are busts or havent lived up to their draft positioning
    2004
    #3 Larry Fitzgerald
    #7 Roy Williams
    #13 Lee Evans
    #15 Mchael Clayton
    #29 Michael Jenkins
    #31 Rashaun Woods
    #50 Devery Henderson
    #54 Darius Watts
    #62 Keary Colbert

    2005
    #3 Braylon Edwards
    #7 Troy Williamson
    #10 Mike Williams
    #21 Matt Jones
    #22 Mark Clayton
    #27 Roddy White
    #35 Reggie Brown
    #39 Mark Bradley
    #55 Roscoe Parrish
    #58 Terrence Murphy
    #61 Vincent Jackson

    2006
    #25 Santonio Holmes
    #36 Chad Jackson
    #44 Sinorice Moss
    #52 Greg Jennings
Why in the world are all of these WR's available it isnt just a fluke especially when u can find guys later like Colston and T.H. Houshmanzadah.Yeah i wnated a WR but its the safer smarter pick to choose Keller. I still want a WR but we can get one later.

We should no better than anybody Wayne Chrebet undrafted Cotchery 4th rounder we will find some one later

But Nesquik, we chose a 6 foot three guy who runs a 4.5 forty, and catches everything thrown to him.

We chose a 6 foot three guy who runs a 4.5 forty, and put him in a position that only LBs and safeties are allowed to try and cover him.

We chose a 6 foot three guy who runs a 4.5 forty, who will always be facing a mis-match on the defense -- or he will remove valuable assets from defending other weapons we also have on the field.

Get out of your pigeon hole and take a look at the possibilities!

I like our TE pick. The guy is a playmaker. Fast as hell, soft hands and takes a hit. Big talent. The WR class simply wasnt all that great.

So you are saying that every WR was going to be a bust? And you should bring up all of the TE busts before just posting this.

Why are only safties and LB going to be able to cover him? When he comes in with a 3 WR set it will be against a dime package.

I think his size & speed in comparison to a nickel/dime corner is still going to be a mismatch... very much so

I hate to say it but if we cut Baker, the Pats will pick him up immediately.

In a pro set or shot gun spread trips with him being the inside reseiver a LB will have to cover him...good luck

The only logical way to look at this is to beleive that we actually DID draft a WR in this guy. I cant see us using him any other way.

Why cut Baker? because he's compaining... screw that... we keep him, use him in 3 TE sets especially in the goal line situations... he needs to STFU and play football. He's not getting more money, and if holds out he's paying his salary back to us in fines.

That's why I kind of like him but I see him being used as a slot WR more than a TE. The guy can't block at all and he probably will be a huge upgrade over McCariens or Smith as a target but I'm not sure if he has the skills to play on the LOS or H-Back at the NFL level. I have a feeling he was taken to line up as a 3 WR and Stuckey will probably be our 4.

That also means if he catches the ball the nickle back has to make the tackle. And thats where it could get interesting...

At his size, blocking can definately be taught... he's not small... and he gets a good release off the LOS when lined up as a TE, which to me tells me he's more physical than people would like to say.

Sorry, don't mean to hijack the thread, but some think that with this guy in the fold, Baker is gone.

Keller will be fine in this lineup. If Stuckey is injury free this year, we'd be in good shape.

It very well could be that he is gone... but no way we cut him. He is a pretty talented TE as a pass reciever. He just over values himself. and maybe, just maybe the Jets throw a little more money at him instead of have another situation like last year. Personally, I'd like to have all 3 of them on the roster, giving us depth, quality and versatility at the position.

Since u dont understand let me break it down for u im not saying that every WR will be bust im saying that the odds are that they wont be live up the positioning of there choosing.

Out of those 24 players that were drafted only 10 of them are solid.Only 3 of them are pro bowlers Fitzgerald, Roy Williams and Braylon Edwards. Thats 14 busts, 7 solid players and 3 pro bolwers . WR is the most difficult position to transition from college to the NFL. Why would we risk all of that. No WR's were chosen in the 1st Round. NONE why because every one see's the risk. In a position were probably no team in the league is settled on EVERY single team in the first said No Thank U to every single one available.

Why question every team in the NFL im pretty sure they know football, this is their lives, their jobs they know way more then anybody including me about football. And yet we continue to whine because we had our hearts set on players and they werent chosen.

I didnt want Gholston i criticized his play from the start, But the minute he was chosen i said oh well he's a Jet now i hope he proves me wrong.I didnt want Keller a TE wtf we could have had a WR but oh well he's Jet now and i wish him well.

Stop whining and not singling u out MSU im talking to eveybody who didnt get what they want stop bitchin and move on

I posted an article about this recently. See here: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=31917

Since no WR's were taken in the first round, perhaps all the GM's read this article as well?
