If the Jets take Matt Ryan on the 6 do the Ravens step up with an immediate offer?

I could see the Jets forced to take Ryan on the 6 and the Ravens stepping up with an 8+ offer almost immediately at that point. It would be like the Giants-Chargers situation in 2004 but a bit further down the draft.

The rumor is that Ozzie Newsome wants Ryan badly to finally solve the Ravens QB situation long-term and that he wants to hand the incoming CS a real potential franchise QB to rebuild around. He just does not want to pay the freight for a top 3 pick so he's biding his time to see if Ryan falls past Atlanta.

I think they do. And I think we'll be listening, too. It could get interesting.

Ryan is pretty much a lock to go to Atlanta at this point.

    I disagree. I think there's a very good chance Dorsey goes 3. Like 50/50.

I don't see Ryan falling to us but if he does we absolutely have to take him. When Baltimore and Carolina call we sell them Chad for a third.

I don't think so because I don't believe the Jets are going to take him. I just don't see the team giving up on Clemmens that quick considering we now have a good OL in front of him. If he is there and we take him I will not be a very happy camper to say the least.

I think it's better than 50/50 that they take Dorsey.... like 60-40. There are other QB's just as good as Ryan in the early 2nd round. I think Brohm, Henne or Flacco will be their guy.

If Ryan does slip that far, I see a Eli Manning situation developing. Wouldn't be surprised to see us do 2 trades down.
(would be happy to keep Ryan)

From ESPN's hashmarks blog...I think we'd be able to get A LOT from the Panthers.
