Eli and Jacobs aren't that good... Jacobs only has to be gameplanned for if you're a team that struggles against the run because Jacobs can run over you and around you. He's not a great back though. Eli still has to prove to me he can do it for an entire season.

A healthy Burress is a threat though.

I would've agreed with you before the Giants won the SB, however, they did it, and it was largely to do with the way their team was configured on both sides of the ball.

I would be least happy with Gholston. I was reading an article today where the author said Gholston looks like a body builder that plays football, instead of a football players that bodybuilds. I just think he could be the second coming of Robertson. So while I wouldn't hate the pick, I'd rather have any of the other guys I mentioned.

I agree with you on Jacobs and Eli. However, guys like Brady, Peyton, LT, TO, Peterson, etc. These guys are all players the other team has to worry about. If McFadden can be one of these guys you have to take him if he's there.

I'm telling you guys McFadden is your answer. I know that many on here like and want DMAC. People knew what we were going to do EVERY play and he ran all over them. I know that is in college but I can't imagine how well Darren will do when the defense isn't 100% sure he is getting the ball. Darren is a star player. He isn't Reggie Bush and he isn't A Pete. He is inbetween those two guys. For the last 3 years the "Razorbacks" were the Arkansas McFaddens (and a little Felix Jones)

I have to assume you are not a Jets fan...Rather an Arkansas fan who has joined to pimp your player. We get guys like you every year. Soon you will be a Raiders fan decrying the Jets.

I only say this because of your choice of words

You're right I'm not a Jets fan. Why would I be? My team is the Arkansas Razorbacks. I don't lose sleep if any pro team wins or loses. If the hogs drop a game it's all I think about. We don't have pro sports in Arkansas. Everything is about the hogs.

All I was telling you is what Darren meant to Arkansas football. We were one of the last ranked passing teams and he still ran for 144 yards a game. They knew either him or felix was getting the rock each and every snap.

I didn't mean to offend you. If he is a Jet then the Jets will have 5 million new Jet fans. Just embrace Razorback nation if yall draft him. You have to understand where hog fans are coming from.

Most here like the Cowboys or KC (my team is the packers) but if a star player goes in the draft mostly everyone follows that team very closely.

A good example is when Matt Jones went to the Jags his rookie year. KC games have been on our regional CBS coverage forever but we got every Jag game in place of the KC's game.

Darren will have that same kind of pull here. We will be watching Jet or Raiders games. I'm all for it. I hate KC.

DMAC, 501 BOY, D Dawg. Draft this guy.

    Wooo Pig Soooie.

I'd like to add on to the original post.
When a team wins a Super Bowl it's 90% of the time a real winning franchise qb who is on the team. Can anybody honestly see Kellen Clemens holding the lombardi trophy...ever? I think he can be an average qb in this league but I really don't see him taking us anywhere imo. I think with Chad in at qb we can have playoff success and maybe a SB run with the right team around him. I think it's POSSIBLE.

However I think the best move for us to make is to take Matt Ryan. He may not be amazing but you never know, he might be. QB is a HUGE need for us. I don't care what people say...

but with that being said. We also need a DE, LB (maybe 2!), a CB, and a S.

I'm afraid of taking Gholston because he just seems like a bust player to me, same with Mcfad. I wouldn't be mad about either of those selections, but I'd much rather have Ryan. Also, I think taking any of the top CB's in round 1 would be a very smart choice. Hopefully we can package something up with our 4ths to get another good quality starter.

Now I think we're making the playoffs this upcoming season, but I'm going to remain very unstable of that statement until after this weekend hopefully. I could see us drafting/needing...

QB,RB,WR,DE,LB,CB,S.... I mean it's just insane how many needs we STILL have even after that fantastic Free Agency. I guess it just goes to show how bad we really were...

I'm not sure we really have all of those needs. With upgrades at all of those positions we might win the next 5 super bowls. What I think we need most out of this draft is an upgrade on offense. That's why I agree with those that say we will take a RB and QB with our first two picks (and probably in that order). If we miss out on McFadden it might be Stewart or Mendenhall. I think we will try and target Flacco, Brohm or Henne with the 2nd.

this turned into a very good post once we got through all the bs and got some people talking with the original poster!

i agree with much of the sentiment of the first post and would like any one of those guys as well. not so much the cbs but i really think we will end up happy with who is left be it mcfadden, long or even ryan. i would least like ryan out of the 3 but he wouldnt be a terrible pick there. i just think we can get a pretty comparable qb further along in the draft.

i still want to see a trade down and picking up more picks though. thats my dream come on cowboys, hey i can dream still right? yeah why not :) give me groves and sweed and i will be a happy man with our first round.

Worse case scenario pick 2 is C. Long, 3 is Dorsey, 4 is Mcfadden, 5 is Gholsten and we cant trade then I wouldnt mind getting Stewart or maybe Mendenhall for a RB they wouldnt be my top choices I still think Rivers would be a nice ILB we would have two guys that both be Def Captains inside.

You know I'm starting to feel more and more like this. I'm hoping that McFadden, Long, and Gholston are all gone and the Jets gamble on Ryan. He's got great size, a nice arm, a winning attitude. Maybe he's the real deal. And no, I don't see Clemens holding any Super Bowl trophies unless it's as a backup.

Are you serious??? I hate EVERYTHING to do with USC.

Darren's freshman year they beat my hogs 70 to 17. Worst night as a hog fan in my life. It felt like if they got 20 yards we stopped him.

The next year they beat us 50 to 14.

    In otherwords. I HATE USC.

I just came up with the name on the spot.

I only say it because every year some poster will create this very same kind of profile name and start carrying on about the #1 overhyped athlete in the draft.

    All of this vicarious excitement...
I am hopeful that the FO have a steady hand come 3pm tomorrow.

All this nervousness awaits the ones who can actually act on the data.

    Tomorrow should be fun.
