How can you say he is overrated? Don't you think the scouts and the GMs have a little more insight than we do here? If they rate him as the safest pick in the draft they must know something, right?

After saying Long is over rated you would be willing to let Dallas screw us in a trade and be very happy?

    Unbelievable.

The scouts also said Ryan Leaf was a sure fire Hall of famer as well. There is no safe pick in the draft. Especially the top ten. The Safest pick in this draft is Jake Long. Your saying two number one picks to move down is getting screwed?

Dallas isn't going to trade UP in this draft?!

Jones already thinks he's got the best team in the NFC East.

Why should he blow draft picks on a bigger bet?

He will stockpile talent that comes to him in the draft, to get better.

He doesn't need a once-in-lifetime playmaker, he needs a lot of dependables.

Quantity of quality, not creme de la creme.

I agree with everything you said. Now knowing what we know about Jones do you think he is prone to want to get that Hr Threat at Rb to the point of doing something stupid. Everybody needs a once in a lifetime gy

I'd really like this to be explained, when most scouts can't find a negative with this kid.

If one of my top guys is there:
Jack Daniels: Vernon Gholston, Chris Long, Darren McFadden (no order)
    Red Stripe: Jake Long
Pabst Blue Ribbon: Matt Ryan, any WR (not trading down)

Assuming my top 4 are gone
    Captain Morgan: Trade down
    Bud Light: Anyone else.

The prob I have Chris Long and the same that I developed for Gholston is that they were 4-3 ends in college its hard to use a top 10 pick on someone that is going to play a different position in the NFL. I think they both will be good but there is that hesitation factor

Baltimore doesn't need to get to #6 to get any of the guys they want if DMC and Gholston are gone. That likely means that there is a good CB left still, and if you're thinking DT, then those will be there too.

Happy: Gholston or either Long...long shots
    Pissed: Ryan, Dorsey, Ellis.

If we're going to go into next season with Ellis and Coleman, we'd better be able to bring pressure from the OLBs, and you can never have enough in the 3-4. Ryan is maybe the best QB out of a piss poor QB class, the DTs won't help the 3-4 at all.

Brian Brohm, Matt Ryan, Andre' Woodson, Joe Flacco, and Chad Henne is a piss poor QB class?

There's no big name guy, but all of those QBs have the ability to start and win in the NFL.

Josh Johnson is also a very intriguing sleeper QB.

If we pick Matt Ryan, I will be the first one calling for Tangini's head(s).

During the combine interviews Chris Long scored huge points when he said that Firestarter was the worst movie he's ever seen.

Flacco is going to be a great QB. If he falls to our 38 pick I don't think it would be unreasonable to consider him. He's got a cannon and is really composed guy, which could really pay off in the nfl.

The rating of the scouts and GMs will come out after the draft, if they feel like telling people about them. You should do yourself a favor and stop taking the word of 'draft experts' as the word of the scouts and the GMs. None of them are on the payroll of any teams and they are at the mercy of any information fed to them, reliable or not.
