Peterson and Bradway have a relationship that goes back quite a few years. If the Pats were attempting to move up would Peterson be truthful with the Jets and give them the same deal.

There was a lot of animosity behind the scenes over Herm leaving the Jets to KC overthecompensation due the Jets. Somehow I doubt that Peterson would be telling us any thing at all. Except maybe "Get lost, it's none of your business "

Of course he wouldn't. He would try and get more out of both teams. Just like any GM would do. And the deals could never be the "same" because the value of the picks would always be different, especially after the first round where the Pats are picking 31st and the Jets 6th.

No, he'd play the pats and Jets against each other like a couple of cheap whores.

This is the NFL draft. Its very big business. Careers are made or destroyed in a few hours on draft day. He will try to lie, cheat, and steal everything he can. As will everyone else involved in the draft.

Think of it like a very, very high stakes game of poker. There is no lying or frindships at the table, only other people to take money from.

    FROM MMQB:

We'll have our phone lines open,'' Chiefs president Carl Peterson said with a chuckle Saturday. "I can tell you if the guy we've targeted at five is not there, we'll definitely be interested in trading down.''

Wait: You need to add this proviso, Carl -- if you know the guy you want isn't going to be taken by the Jets or Pats, you've got to try to trade down just as hard.

Lots of teams trade little pieces of draft information this time of year. But you can be sure that the Patriots and Jets will be ultra-secretive when talking to friends in the league. They simply don't want their arch-enemy to know what they're thinking. Peterson also realizes that if New England is kept guessing about who the Jets want, and if the Patriots guess about who New York wants, he might be able to get either team to trade up. The Chiefs can win by keeping their lips zipped, and by dropping hints to the Pats and Jets that they'd better move into the fifth spot if they want to be sure to get the guy they love.

My theory is Peterson likes Jake Long and Matt Ryan. Also, there's a slight chance he might want Boise State's Ryan Clady, who is probably a better left-tackle prospect than Long. The way I see it, Long will be long gone by the fifth spot ... But if Atlanta doesn't take Ryan, he'll be there at 5. And should the Chiefs move down, Ryan would probably still be available at 6 and 7 too.

Here's what I love about this story: Don't put it past the Jets and the Patriots to try to trump each other.

This is what makes the draft so much fun. You are probably right, neither the Jets or Pats will probably take Ryan, who I think KC wants , Lately there has been a lot of rumors about the Jets being interested in Ryan, probably spread by the Jets for this very reason, but still the Jets just might take him, if they have decided Clemens stinks.

High risk trade if KC thinks Ryan is a franchise QB

took a look at the blog. You need better writers. Most of us here can do a better job, but may not have to motivation to do it. Myself included, and a handful of others know more than those guys.

I'm not sure on the rules of promoting another site on the board-- check with a moderator of how you two can collaborate.
