I wonder if he is back on the feild yet. He's been out for 6-7 months, but he makes it sound like he was a couple of weeks away from getting back on the feild. That seems quick to come back from an Knee injury, hopefully that is a testament to his hard work.
Hopefully, he realizes that this is is last chance. He's done well in the past on Special Teams but as a CB, he needed some more work. Add in his injury (very bad timing for that to have happened) and you have all the potential for a make or break year for him. If he doesn't produce this year, he's done. Lets see how he plays come training camp. At this point in time, It's far too early to throw him under the bus.
I'm not holding my breath on this kid. He proved to be an excellent KR, but I still have nightmares of him playing CB. He couldn't defend a pass w/o getting called for pass interference. And on the plays he did make a stop, it wasn't until after an 8 yd gain.
i think that we can give him one more year unless the draft falls the wrong way and we are forced to take a corner in round one. 1 more year, if he isnt starter material after this year, ill give up on him.
as far as the dropsies, didn't we have another DB/return man who suffered from the same thing early on? oh yeah, Arron Glenn. question: if miller makes a comeback, who will play the slant receiver in the nickle? revis, miller, or poteat (sp)? right now we move revis up.
if he is working out on non-contact machines in Arizona, I would say he is not back out on the field yet.
drew coleman... he needs work on his technique but he's very fast to make up for his mistakes. With alot of work, he can be a great slot CB. But i don't think he can make it to being a #2 for any team.
I agree that Drew Coleman can make a great slot CB like Mickens -- but he is faster than Mickens. Still, Mickens was a great cover corner for us. I only hope Coleman can upgrade his own technique enough to match up.
I agree Miller has all the talent in the world. His problem has been maturity. In college he played very well relying on his speed. he thought he could do that in the NFL. You can't. After he bopped Obomba's aide, a light seemed to go on. I think he realized he was one step away from going home. he had more improvement after that then he has had in either his Pro or college career. He improved to the point that not only did he get out of Mangini's dog house, but won the starting job. If he has been doing a lot of studying since his injury, he is going to be an outstanding DB.
Yea mangini really believes Justin Miller is an option at CB. Like you believe J Vilma and D robertson were good fits for your 3-4 defense. Than tell me mangini why did you try to sign TY Law and other Cbs this offseason, if you really were happy with Justin miller. Maybe the reason why J Miller looked so good in practice was because he was going against Pennington and Clemens. Something dosen't smell right.
He will be a bust, him and JMac when the Raiders get him. It will go down as the Raiders most failed 1-2 punch in history.
continued trolling ok so we know he isnt on the field, neither is anyone else right now. does anyone know the timetable that he is on for his return? any news on that would be appreciated.
Raiders are most likely not going Dmac. M Bush from all reports is 100% and running at full speed. Raider players think he will have hugh impact on their team next year. Raiders are probably going defense. Hopefully C Long or V gholston.
Man, jeaux, after all the incorrect predictions you have made over the years (basically ALL OF THEM) do you think your opinion holds even some measurable amount of water vapor as to what is going to happen?
