same shit as last year.....we cant hit until May or so and when we do, we score 14 runs against teams' 4 and 5 guys and donot hit for shit against any decent pitching. Is it possible for an offense that scores 1000 runs to actually in some way be overrated?
Can't really blame Farnsworth. The bullpen assortment has been doing its job, holding them to only 2 runs in 5 innings. This lineup should be getting way more than 4 hits off of Zack F'ing Greinke. Robinson CaBlows and Jason Roidambi should be batting 8th and 9th the way they've been swinging the bat.
Actually, if you look at last year's team, it was the #1 and #2 guys that the Yanks hit well. It was always the no-name #5 guy that would shut the Yanks down for seven innings. Honestly, though, I can't believe they're playing this game.
I think the point is, if your pitching staff is only giving up 3-4 runs, an offense that was supposed to drive in 900+ should be able to win games. The Yankees' bats stayed behind in Tampa, rather than make such an early trip north.
