good to know. If falls to the #36 pick, he's ours.

The question is, will he fall that far?

He'll probably still be there between the 22nd and 28th picks. Which means that in the event the Jets and Cowboys pull a deal, the Jets would have done their due diligence as to who may be around at those picks.

No way. I think he might go to the Vikings at #17. There's no way he gets to the 2nd round IMO.

We'd need to trade down to get him. I would have no problem trading down from #9 to #14 and picking him up.

That's funny cause I was gonna say that we should be able to get him with the #28 after taking Limas Sweed with the #22:up:

Dammit I cannot stand it anymore. Why do so many people on this board insist on writing "IMO" and/or "IMHO" after half of their statements? This is a fan message board. Of course its your damn opinion! We get it! When you write something that is pure speculation, or add your two cents to an argument, WE KNOW THIS IS AN OPINION AND NOT A FACT. You mindlessly tack "IMO" onto the end of your sentences as if its a punctuation mark, which it is not. Annoying.

    Example:

"Here's how I see the first 6 picks playing out on draft day, IMHO..."

    NO SHIT?!@?@!!@

I think we do it because text is not as easy to analyze as voice is. Plus, we are talking about our beloved Jets, Draft, etc- so things will be taken much more literally. IMO is a pure disclaimer to make the reader understand that the post is not something to get emotional about or to take to heart. Its really a simple reminder that takes .7 seconds to type, IMO.

    lol, anyway.

Good to know they're learning everything they can, hopefully they are in position to make the right picks at the right time.

IMO opinion that is a really stupid thing to bitch about... IMHO you should find other people to complain to and stop posting pointless spam.

I really like Groves and would love to get him if we trade down. JetsFanInPA has me a little worried now that Minny is looking at him at No. 17.

Guy on NFLDraftCountdown apparently is a scout or something and he is close with Groves, and they had a text convo in which Groves revealed the Jets were looking at him as an ILB for the 3-4.

I'll try and find a link and post it if I do.

They also had Gosder Cherilus in for a workout. Maybe they are looking to trade down and the FO is targeting Groves and Cherilus? That would be a great 1st round. But alot would have to happen for it to fall that way though.

I have him slotted for our 2nd rounder like indicated in your sig., in an ideal world of course. And while we're at it...Stewart falls to us in the 3rd:up: I wouldn't be totally against using one of the first day picks on Stewart if the FO feels it's good value, however. In that case, and much more realistic IMHO (had to), would be:

    #22: Sweed
    #28: Groves
    2(5): Stewart
    3(4): Nicks

...but it's looking less and less likely that DMC is going to fall to us, so all this is probably moot.

Any chance the ILB was a typo. It would unprecedented as far as I can remember, a college 4-3 DE moving to 3-4 ILB.

    Sure you didn't mean OLB?

Wow, I never really thought of that. Interesting. With a fatass Jenkins in front of him and with his speed, he could be a terror up the gut of the 3-4 as long as he could learn to drop into coverage.

I hope so. Groves at ILB would kind of waste his sick pass rushing ability.

even if he gets past R1, isn't this the type of player Parcells loves in his 3-4?

i'm not sure what Miami's needs are - or in what priority - but if Parcells needs him to help build his D, why would he pass on him at the beginning of R2?

Because there are also plenty of people on message boards that try to portray their opinion as fact.
