well since im going to college for music engineering and i studied the HISTORY of HIP HOP...im guessing i know a lot more then you do....first off, jay-z bites lines from everybody...his newest album has a eminem line in it....second, lil wayne openly admitted he has a ghost writer(someone who writes for another rapper)

    nas is a ghost writer

jay z is a ghost writer

    eminem is a ghost writer

JR Writer is lil Waynes ghost writer

if you ever listen to lil waynes first album and then his newest ones....they are totally different style wise...yes rappers change up styles but they dont change so much drastically, he uses metaphors now and similes and before he just had weak rhymes....your probally all on his dick because you think real hip hop is mainstream...check out some real music like lupe, jr writer, wu tang, commom etc....thank you

anywhoo back to the thread lol

thomas jones has a lot of haters on this website...why, i have no fuckin clue...thomas is the man...he got 1100 yards with the worst run blockin team ive seen since my high school....im soo happy with him

on jets nation they talked about some RB we just got from miami (i think) that is a lot like thomas jones, fast, elusive bull rusher between that has marks. they showed some footage of him juking and running hard. they wern't sure where he will fit in, but commented that having him will save some wear and tear on Leon, and will also provide a solid backup if jones gets dinged.

    anyone know much about him?

Ok Eminem is the shit he is more psycologically advanced than any rapper and has the balls to throw himself out there. Jay-z has a good voice and all but his lyrics are to main stream and is just out to make a buck. Lil wayne is catchy but dumb as bricks. Lupe is intelligent and has a certain sophistication to his raps that i've never heard in modern hip hop, Lupe is underated if anything and if you actually listened to more than his just his mainstream hits you would know what im talking about. And oh yeah Kris Jenkins supposedly at nearly 400 pounds playing 3-4 D-end is about as dumb as those suggesting D-rob should play inside linebacker.

If you wanna talk about RAP (not hip hop) then make a separate thread.

    It's crazy isnt' it?

ZOMG what hot girl is that?

    ZOMG Lupe.

No one ZOMG'd when weed was my avatar.

Eminem completely changed rap. I should say, Eminem completely changed how mainstream culture looked at rap. Before him, hip hop was almost exclusively made for and by African Americans. I'm not black. I'm not white either, but what Eminem seemed to do was make people more aware that *everyone* of every race sees some negative shit. Rap has always been great at analyzing how people react to negative shit, what the industry never did was branch out too far past the black community.

And has anyone hear actually SEEN Jenkins play or is all this analysis based on his weight? At his best, he's a Haynesworth/Henderson type that overpowers the shit out of his blockers to create havoc in the backfield. Those guys could play anywhere on the 3-4 DL.

Yeah, you're talking about Jesse Chatman, and he kicks ass. I saw him play for Miami and he is a tough son-of-a-gun. Jesse C. will make DBs wince and look over their shoulder and ask for some help. Jesse C. will make each would-be tackler pay.

Give the OL their heads and let them maul, and TJ will slash and dash. While Thomas is catching his breath, Jesse C. can come in and bust the LBs and DBs in the mouth -- that's out in the secondary, now, guys, well past the line of scrimmage.

And just when they get sick and tired of gasping about here comes Jesse C. again, then Leon darts by them and finds the house before they know what happened.

What a scenario. Should be fun.

What you have forgot to mention is that Lil' Leon Washington will also become the HR threat he was back in the day due to the new O-Line. He can cut and slash his way to 40+ yrd gains like in 06. Or dump pass screens to him i.e. Miami game X-mas eve.

I like Jay-z, Eminem, and Lil Wayne equally... they all have interesting lyrics and all come from different parts of the country. Each with their own story to tell. I'm learning about Lupe now, and he's impressed me so far. I like rap aside from the sounds of Satan I frequently bang my head to, like my awesome Slipknot avatar- Stay (SIC) Maggots.

I wouldn't compare the games of Jones and Chatman, Jones may have a quickness and a bit of fight to his game, but Chatman can hit the hole hard and punish defenders. He will be a guy we use a lot in short yardage and goal line situations. Instead of watching TJ run face first into a wall and try to nuzzle his way through.
