My expert opinion on the OaklandJets trade rumor IT IS BOGUS. it is feigned interest. It is well known that jerry jones likes McFadden, so I believe Mr Tanny most certainly did propose that trade with Kenyon Coleman and the first, knowing that it would be rejected. But knowing that the word would spread that the Jets will pick McFadden if he's still there at pick six. The benefit of this is that it will urge Oakland to really pick McFadden at pick four, letting a guy we really want (hopefully) fall to us at six, that or, give another team reason to trade up for our spot so they can get McFadden instead of us. There's no way we're really going to pick McFuddyDuddy. Put that in your CD account and watch the interest grow...
while i agree w/u on the whole pre draft shananigins to make teams believe were gonna draft this guy or that guy, i dont agree w/u on why u think it wont be mcfadden or why u dont want him
if gholston is'nt on the board when we pick, i'd like to see us get rodgers-cromartie. i think he has such an enormous upside. i love this guy!
Dur. He didn't just lead our line. He led all lines in tackles, offensive and defensive. Heheh. It's true, you know. Koz, why don't you post in the Jets forum more? I have to sit here reading people claiming that McFadden had 0 fumbles, lets trade our second and both fourths to get to the #5 spot, and that Kenyon Coleman sucks. Where the fuck do people get this shit, and why do the sane people not post as much?
If you want to put something in your CD account and watch it grow it is that NE is going to get Cromartie if he is there and may even make a move if need be to get him...He has Bellicheat all over him...They are hurting at CB and the upside as you mentioned is off the charts..
To spare you, I won't use that weird word. He's a speed back with fumbilitis who is overrated because of his size. If McFadden were 5'10" 200 and ran the same way, no one would care because he would be just like Chris Johnson and Jamaal Charles. He isn't all hype but is in no way deserving of the praise given to him by the media and fans. Character issues aside, I would still sooner take either of the other Hog runningbacks with the #6 pick than McFadden.
Quite frankly, I think they would be doing it for Gholston. Gholston is just one of those rare freaks of nature who really can come in and see major playing time right out of the box, and has the potential to really be a force and I think is also the more sure investment. The only thing is, there is a slight and/or real possibility that Gholston will not be available at #4. The guy really opened peoples eyes at the combine and his pro-day workout.
This would be great. Who cares about Coleman, Parcells used the guy on long downs and as a backup for a reason. He is good at chasing running backs, but DE's in the 3-4 are suppose to be closing down lanes and occupying OLinemen. We draft Mcfadden, all world talent is added to the Offense and in the second we can draft Dre Moore or wait til the fourth for Red Byrant or Rubin.
The only way I even consider doing this is if Long is still on the board at #4 (fat chance). As it is, Coleman was our best linemen last year and is vastly underrated here and elsewhere. I could only see us doing this is if we're enamored with Dre Moore and feel that he'll be there with our second pick. Our DE depth would be pretty thin otherwise.
Trade up to trade down? Could Dallas give us more if we held the 4th spot instead of the 6th? We could get a 2nd instead of a 3rd if the pick values are accurate.
I would say very average, not very solid. I mean he was okay, but nothing special. if he is all it would take to move up to 4 than see you later Kenyon, we hardly knew ya.
Most tackles by a defensive lineman in the NFL in addition to eating up blockers well on running downs. Average as hell.

They aren't supposed to put up Abraham-esque numbers (when his vag. is not sprained) game in and game out. Go back and watch some film... end quote. I'm not saying he sucks. What I'm saying is, he didn't do anything great. Alot of his tackles weren't key ones that helped to stop opponent's drives. Every other tackle opportunity doesn't make one a good linemen, and considering the Jets were on defense more than they were on offense, I can see why he had that many tackles. Think about it. they ran the ball against us most of the time, because they knew we couldn't stop them, and I'm sure they ran it his way because he didn't have the experience and talent to hold his own. And yes, I watch the games from start to finish, and hardly heard his name being called, and don't know what all the fuss is about this guy.
