    This was posted yesterday.......

.....and if you read his profile, he seems perfect for a hybrid 3-4 D.

Sounds like a potential 2nd rounder if he is still there.

Balmer is certainly intriguing - I doubt he'll be there by our second rounder, but IF we traded with the Cowboys, he is someone who I think would be a great value in that 22/28 range.

If he were to fall to the 2nd round, then I wouldn't disagree with the pick.

i wouldn't mind either him or dre moore. if we do trade down with the cowboys like a previous poster stated, they WOULD be great value at those spots.

Word out of Maryland, is that the Jets have met with Dre Moore 4 times already, considerably more than any other team.

Looks like we are doing our due diligence in the draft.

Purely from the standpoint of physical and athletic potential, Dre Moore is a lot closer to being a Richard Seymour type player than Balmer. He's stronger, much quicker and will come a lot cheaper as well.

Sweet, I made that Balmer/Seymour comp awhile ago.

He and Moore are my favorite DL prospects in this draft, and if we came out with one of them I'd be real happy.

Moore has the potential to be an absolute monster 3-4 DE IMO. The difference between the two will be the interviews.

Think we'll hear much about how these guys do in interviews?

Doubtful that we hear about anything from interviews Dware. The only way that knowledge would escape is if in an interview they were so put off by a player they put it out there as a smokescreen....

As Kris Jenkins, former Maryland guy, Dre Moore has the tools, he?s an athletic freak, as evidenced by his workout numbers. He only played one year of high school football in NC, and like most DT?s takes a few plays off.

That being said, watching him for his entire college career he can be dominant.

i wouldn't be too surprised if the jets go D-Line in the second round. However, i would much prefer to go WR in the second round because it is definitely up there in terms of needs and, there is a lot of talent at WR in the second round, with guys like james hardy, and mario manningham possible being available in the second round.

Even when he takes plays off he isn't really pushed off of the line, he just doesn't much of his own push. The guy swims on the line amazingly well, though.
