Hey, on your avatar...isn't that the pose Manning had AFTER he made that unbelievable thrown to Tyree, and BEFORE he connected with Plax sealing the Patriots fate as the team that went 18-1?
I've said it before, and I'll say it again.. People need to SLOW DOWN!!! The Pats won 18 games last season We've won 18 games COMBINED over the last 3 seasons... As Jim Mora once said, "Playoffs!? Don't talk about playoffs!"
Madden 09 and yeah, odds are the Jets won't win the division. With some lucky breaks a Wild Card is not out of the question though.
Hate to do this but: QFT Pass some of that stuff this way man....it'll make my work day go better lol. We just don't know yet...we just don't know anything about this new line, our draft pick (already assuming gholston eh?) From 4-12 to beating a team w/a HOF qb, top 10 draft pick and just capped off a perfect regular season....REALLY?!?! You'll be the very same guy who curses everyone in the jets FO and roster in week 1 when they don't live up to your superbowl aspirations. We're paper champions at least...does that make you feel any better?
OK, here are three ACTUAL reasons the Jets will win the division: 1) The Patriots defense will have its worst season under Bill Belichick next year. 3-4 defenses use linebackers like gasoline. The Pats starting four are all older than dirt. Drafting Vernon Gholston won't significantly change that. In the secondary, Rodney Harrison is the best player. The Patriots have gone with experience over youth for some time now; 2008, the young get even. 2) Trent Edwards will have a sophomore slump. Let's face it: the kid was good last year. He won games. J.P. Losman is packing his bags. That doesn't change the fact that a large portion of Edwards' success came from the fact that teams had no film of him and were ill-prepared for his debut, as is the case with many successful freshman quarterbacks. Kerry and Darrelle have been studying, though. 3) The Miami Dolphins. That's why we're winning the division.
