Why do we Jets fans always look for a reason not to pick the best the draft has to offer, We have the chance here to pick arguably the best player in the draft and many feel we should look elsewhere. I am not sold that we need a RB at the 6th pick but if McFadden is there and we pass we just might be selling ourselves short. Lets aim high and act like a winning team.
15 fumbles last year. How many do you think he will have in the NFL where they try to strip the ball every play?
lets pick Gholston or McKelvin- Defensive playmakers at postions of need that don't carry McFadden's baggage
I have only seen Gholson twice this year, but had some questions about his dedication. With that said if it came down to Gholson or McFadden, I would take Gholson in a heartbeat
Everybody has some possible downside but McFaddens upside is tremendous if there is any argument in my mind it is if Stewart or Mendanhall is better suited for us. with our new line our offense has a real possibility to be great. Lets for once go for the homerun hitter, gamebreaking player Our defence with our new additions will be very good if not great with the other picks we have in the draft.
i don't care what anyone says, if dmacc is there for the raiders, they will pick him. you know they always like the big name guys. he's got 4 kids with 4 different women. with all that baggage, how can the raiders pass him up. i do not want this guy!
Stop always settling. THEY HAVE NO PLAYMAKERS ON OFFENSE. THIS GUYS A BIG PLAYMAKER. Stop being ridiculous.
If the guy was a great receiver like Bush, I'd go along with you, He's not. He is a one dimensional speed guy, who fumbles the football. Just doesn't cut it in the NFL
...absolutely disagree...Reggie Bush was a better prospect than McFadden...how has he done...NO WAY do I want this guy...I watched him play several times in Ark's shotgun offense...this guy fumbles TOO much and will not be an ELITE rb in the NFL....
You obviously don't know this player. He's the best player in this years draft by far. He gets to #6, the Jets get the biggest gift of the draft.
Best player in this years draft by far. Peterson also was a similar prospect, how's he turned out? Jets are starving for offensive talent, starving for offensive explosiveness, this guy specializes in both, he's the no brainer pick if he's there at six. And the Jets, luckily know that, unlike some on this site who always want to settle for second and third best guys who they can then proceed to overrate (aka Gholston who is so overrated on this site, it's not even funny).
...I'm pretty sure if given the chance, players try to strip the ball at every level. How many yards did he put up last year? Almost 1800 yards...while splitting carries with Felix Jones, who gained 1,000 + yards. How many TDs did he score? 15 rushing and 1 more receiving. Production is way more important than McFadden fumbling the ball out of bounds.
