Jenkins- Wow... He's a monster and a beast. A new contract and a new team should have this man working hard in the offseason and working even harder on the field to prove a point to his teamates and coaches that he can be one of the best NT's in the leauge. Just look at V.Wilfork, the man is HUGE, he demands double teams just about every down and because of that, he helps complete that Patriots 3-4 Defense, and I honestly feel that Jenkins will be a natural 3-4 NT for the simple fact he's even larger than Wilfork. Not only does the trade for K.Jenkins improve our NT position, it improves the WHOLE D-Line and MLB positions. D.Robertson has been a 4-3 DT trying to play the role of a 3-4 NT, he gets thrown off the blocks just about each and every play for the simple fact he's not large enough or even strong enough to fight through the double teams inorder to clog the running lanes, K.Jenkins should beable to do that with his size and strenght. Who knows if Coleman will be our starting RDE, but S.Ellis should have a great season as our LE this year playing next to a NT who DEMANDS double teams. Last year D.Harris played like the rookie of the year behind D.Robertson, he made plays... And he made plays BEHIND THE LOS... Last year D.Harris had games with like 17, 18, 20 something tackles... He's a beast and playing behind K.Jenkins will benefit D.Harris in so many ways. When we traded for K.Jenkins, you know what I thought? You know who came to mind? David Harris. And next year as a 2nd year starter, behind a True NT... I look for this KID to compete for defensive player of the year. K.Jenkins improves our whole D-Line in the 3-4, NT, LE, RE, and also improves the MLB positions... Great job Tangini, great job... One of the best offseason moves I could have wished for. -------------------------------------------------------- A.Faneca I can go on and on... Im shocked, it's simply amazing. A.Faneca is ONLY 31 years old... This man can play at high levels of play for another freaking 5-6 seasons untill hes about 37 years old! All I can say is this... The Jets just added a PROVEN Pro-Bowler to the O-Line and signed one of the Best LG's in the entire league. Yea, the Steelers are known for letting players go at the right time, when they are plaid out, J.Bettis and J.Porter come to mind... But I promise you all... The steelers are going to miss A.Faneca for years to come. It's hard to say this... But the Jets can actually have an ELITE O-Line this season with the addition of a QUALITY starting RT to help protect Kellen. The Jets getting A.Faneca is HUGE... In more ways that one. He is going to help improve the left side of the O-Line with his skill, experience, and most of all... Leadership. He will be playing IN THE MIDDLE of Ferguson and Mangold, both entering this season as 3rd year starters. We always wanted D'Brickishaw Ferguson to be a franchise LT? Well playing next to A.Faneca, Ferguson actually has a chance to look like the FRANCHISE LT that we drafted him to be @#4 overall... Im so excited for Ferguson this year, it's not even funny/ Mangold... Wow... His rookie season, when we went to the playoffs, with P.Kendall as our LG... Some say Mangold could have won the offensive ROY award if the O-Line was considered a "Sexy Position"... Last year Mangold was ONCE AGAIN... Our best O-Lineman... WITHOUT a QUALITY LG. This year... Mangold should make the Pro Bowl playing next to Faneca. Not only will Mangold become a better Center next to A.Faneca, but Mangold will also gain alot of skill and leadership ability over the next 3-4 seasons working alongside a proven HOF type of O-Lineman in A.Faneca... This is crazy, I can go on and on... I also know that Kellen Clemens, Thomas Jones and Leon Washington all have smiles on thier faces. He is a great pass blocking LG but Faneca is one of THE BEST run blocking LG's to play the game in a long time. Thomas Jones should have over 1500 yards this year if he gets the same amount of carries as last year. You wanna talk about an exciting left side of an O-Line? I can show you one. D'Brickishaw Ferguson, Franchise LT Alan Faneca, Proven Pro Bowler, future HOF LG Nick Mangold, Future Pro Bowl Center Talk about excitement. I hope we draft RT with our 2nd round draft pick to add another young O-Lineman to play alongside Brick and Mangold for years to come.
