I love this argument. Many of you don't realize that the Steelers Cowboys Patriots and Colts are all volunteer organizations. Now you know.
He wants to go to AZ but will take the money. Once the contract is signed he has the money but will he have the heart?
The Jets better get a pulse on this guy. There is no denying his talent but do they really want to break the bank of a mercenary who is here only for the pay? I'm sick of this garbage always happening to the Jets.
If those are his agents comments then I would also hold this deal in question. "Every word you say is a door way to you!"
You never saw the Magnificent 7? Think of the Jets as a small Mexican farming village and Faneca and the other FA?s we bring in as a paid mercenary who will fall in love with the village and protect us from the marauding Patriots.
On the money. 32mil seems like a pretty good offer to me, give him to midnight and then show some Jets balls and pull the offer. Our season won't be decided on Fanica's signing but it's time we put down a marker that the "same old, same old Jets" are no longer. I'd feel a lot better about Mangini and co. if they pull the plug rather than an overpaid OT embarrasing us.
It's 82 and sunny in Pheonix right now, home prices are affordable and taxes are low. I just finished shoveling my walk. Maybe Faneca is on to something?
I totally agree with the nervous stuff but he's in to visit the Jets today, which is a very good sign.
I'm starting to get concerned... But espn and Sirius NFL are pretty reliable and continue to report he's a jet. Not to mention after Antoine Winfield and John Lynch...the football gods can only do this to us so many times..
I am also getting concerned - and if I had any doubts at all if I were Tannenbaum I'd fly in Jacob Bell right away to force Faneca's hand and have a backup plan. I'd love Faneca and want him on the Jets - but if he pulls something I'd be damn happy to have Bell for less money and that mean more money for other FA's and draft picks. Don't let him play you - gg
