i definitely think hes worth a look. especially if he comes relatively cheap and is given an incentive based contract.. kinda like the whole vilma deal. i really want coles to stay tho so i dont know how that would work out if we did sign him.

I would take a look at Javon, but someone in the draft I would like to get is James Hardy.
He is tall and pretty fast for his size.
He would definitely create problems, especially in the red zone.

One of my best friends is an Indiana grad so I watched the Hoosiers alot this year. He put up good numbers condsidering he had a run 1st QB. I think he'll be a late 1st to mid 2nd round guy. I really like him though.....

Definitely sign him, but not to replace coles. Keep coles and cotch, at walker to make our WR core complete.

another point in the link is that tanny will not bring coles back after coles called him a liar in the press. i wasn't aware that coles was toast.

Id almost guarantee that Coles is back- The Jets want to compete in 08 and losing Coles will hurt them from competing. In addition, Tannenbaum is gonna handle this situation a lot better than he did with Kendall- I think hes learned. Coles will be back.

I would've liked the Walker talk prior to the two knee injuries, and I'm not quite sure he's recovered mentally from the Darrent Williams incident.

I think the Jets should pass on Javon.

I thought the FO would be gunning for Bryant Johnson...the guy is fast, durable, not afraid to go over the middle, and could be had for a reasonable price...thoughts?

No he isn't. He's just been injured. The death of Darrent Williams really messed with his head. The guy died in his arms...and he said on HBO's Real Sports that he still has the bloody shirt. Sad story.

I think he needed to get out of Denver to start over. He's got a lot of talent if he can stay healthy and get his head straight.

yea that same shit happened to my friends...they were swimming in the reservoir
and they witnessed their friend drown right in front of them...they tried saving him and he started pulling them under too....those kids still have problems and do more drugs then ever....now

back to javon....it might take awhile to get over something of that caliber...to see someone die in your hands has got to be life shattering....def. a new environment would help and i would like to see him a jet....he can def. stretch the field for us

Yep, I also think we should work on a new linebacker, and a cornerback.

just as long as this does'nt effect us getting a TALL, FAST,WR, IN THE DRAFT. I like the idea, though

I generally have a fairly positive outlook towards the Jets, but when did we become the Washington Redskins?

This makes the most sense. Make it an incentive heavy contract since he is so injury prone.
