Any TGG mothers wanna run Tanny over some Coffee and brownies?

  1. Man oh man...

Tannenbaum has got to be so full of caffeine and "performance enhancing drugs for Gms's" it isn't even funny.Think about this...on day one of FA he has...

    1. Negotiated a trade of Vilma
    2. Negotiaed a trade for Jenkins
    3. Signed Jenkins to a new contract
    4. Gotten close w/ Faneca...aka the best guard on the market
    5. Attempted to deal D rob
    6. Began negotiations and set up a visit w/ Calvin Pace
    7. Somehow worked in a conference call w/ the MEDIA!
And the night still isn't complete and a big day on the horizon.

Gotta give Tannenbaum some credit. He's not the "amateur accountant" many made him out to be..

Now that you listed it all out, it really does seem like he had a busy day. You also forgot the extension for Pouha.

I hope he finishes a deal for D-Rob some time soon.

Its been a hell of a day. With the new info on the Vilma deal its looking better and better. Tanny did a hell of a job so far. Get the Faneca thing done and its been a great off season.

With Free Agency A Few Days In!

I am usually not someone to too my own horm but, I have been pretty dead on and I really see where this organization is going, this was posted before midday Thursday:

    This was posted midday Friday:

I have been pretty spot on and I love now what I see this off-season becoming.

OG - Alan Faneca - Finally, locked up everyone had worries about another Winfield situation but you need to remember Tannenbaum and Mangini are running the show now and have had a very very good track record so far. They paid Faneca a lot of money but this signing will make this offense so much stronger in the long run. I know its only a Guard but the Jets knew this was the guy they HAD to get. Hell of a job! Also, a big thank you to Fitzgerald and Arizona :-D.

OT - Damien Woody/Shane Olivea - These are the two names that are popping up now. Woody I have been saying would be approached once the Faneca signing was complete. I still see that happening now, I believe Woody will be approached first and Olivea wont be far behind. But I am positive one of these two will be a New York Jet within the next few days. Woody has more experience but Olivea really showed a lot his first year. I would be fine with Woody but I am really pulling for Olivea to get a fire lit underneath him from Callahan.

NT - Kris Jenkins - Still exstatic about what he will bring to the defense. This guy is the real deal. Perfect fit for this defense and will greatly improve the defense as a whole!

NT - Dewayne Robertson - I still believe he will be traded in the upcoming days, the latest reports have been for multiple first day picks. Anything more than a 2nd rounder would be amazing anything less than a 2nd rounder would be disappointing. Either way a 2nd rounder makes the Jenkins trade pure genious.

LB - Jonathan Vilma - After all the talk about how bad or good the trade was more details come into light. Getting a 2008 4th Round Pick, and the possibility of a 2009 2nd or 3rd Round Pick and the Saints recieving our 2009 4th Round Pick. This trade is a very complicated one but works out very well either way for the Jets. If Vilma is no longer a pro bowl player we still get a 4th this year. If he returns to form the Saints will re-sign him and we move up in the draft next year. Excellent value and an excellent trade from Tannenbaum.

LB - Calvin Pace - I am still pulling for the Jets to sign this guy. Pulling him away from the Fish would be huge. Pace had an outstanding season, and is more suited for the 3-4. This is not like Thomas, it was his first year in the 3-4 not just his contract year. He had a better coaching staff who really knows how to bring out the talent. He is gonna demand more money then I would like to pay for him, but thats the market value right now. Getting Pace and eventually signing a RT, would give the Jets a BPA attitude heading to the draft. Trading down always becomes an option, just looking for partners and maybe future picks.

CB - Randall Gay - The latest talk is about signing Gay. I think this would be another smart move. The kind of guy we need to finish up our secondary. Add another CB and S in the draft and let them all compete. May the best men win. For the price we would get Gay we made out better than trying hard for Samuel. Not over paying for CB's is the right move. I just know if Gay signs here the Jets fans are gonna have a lot of jokes to make :-D.

    Youth?
