brother in law is a lions fan...the only reason i watched every lions game this season
no one on that team has heart...
winning/coaching/change of scenery can all change a player
considering how well the heartless player has performed in the past...i'd take the chance

MSN NY is saying the Detroit Free Press is saying that it's Rogers for Vilma and that it could be announced Friday.

Wow, I hope this guy shapes up if its true. I guess we need to take a chance at NT considering there is not much out there.

I hope we hold on to D-Rob, he would be a beast next to a real NT.

Funny. I remember Randy Moss being a heartless player.

Not saying we're the patriots. But, when you play for the lions.. you aren't really even playing.

Whether it's for Rogers or a pick between rounds 1-3...I'm excited.

Lions were better the first half. Lions franchise has been a joke since Millen got there. Jets have at least had some good teams the last 6-7 years

i know his size would make up for it but does he have experience as a 3-4 NT?

No, but how many good active NFL players do? Out of those players, how many are available? He's a good football player that fits the physical requirements. If he's coachable hopefully he can learn the position. I'm sure he will or already has been given the 3rd degree from mangini on this part before any trade goes down.

edit: We can't sit around and wait for a Vince Wilfork or Jamal Williams to become available, we have to take a risk to try and get someone in here for the 2008 season. That being said, I would NOT get rid of Robertson so quick if possible (no clue if that's feasible). He's a good DT that can also play DE. He's a great guy to have around being able to play 3-4 DE or NT now, as well as 4-3 DT if we want to throw that in the mix. He could also help Rodgers learn the position - he has experience with the transition.
