So what do you guys think? Is it for a draft pick? Or do the Jets want Shaun Rogers? I personally think the Lions will try and throw us the 3rd rounder and try and trade Rogers to the Broncos to get the pick back.
It's kinda sad to see Vilma going, he quickly became my favorite jet on the current team. He's a stud in the right defense. That being said, give me Shaun Rogers! or at least a 3rd.
Yeah, that marks the beginning of free agency/the new football season. Trades can happen and free agents can begin discussions for signing.
I agree...although I wouldn't be upset with one of their picks. I think a Rodgers/Vilma swap is completey fair and good for both teams.
I'd much rather the pick than Rogers. We'll see what happens but there seems to be a market for Vilma so I'm hoping the FO doesnt just settle..
Actually I dont know, I'm not crazy about Rogers or the idea of trading a talent like Vilma that doesnt fit the scheme for another talent the complete opposite of Vilma that we dont know fits the scheme either.. I'm holding out hope that we can get a 2nd for him, if he is healthy I dont see why not..
Well the simple fact that is known about Rogers is that he WILL demand double teams in the 3-4 or 4-3 regardless. I think that is what the Jets want.
AAAh I hate the idea of trading Vilma. I have an authentic Vilma jersey and my 8yr old also has a Vilma jersey. If it has to happen a 3rd is unacceptable IMO but a clean swap with rogers I guess would be OK. What about Drob
That is if he is trying on the field.. Teams dont get rid of guys that size with multiple pro bowls for no reason. I'm weary.
I guess I am banking on the notion that Rogers desperately wants a change of scenery, but that could be very naive of me.
