What should we do,we should be receiving a lot of phone calls and although its unlikely Peterson dropped last year the same could happen for DMC really i dont now but im leaning towards trading.

I dont see Mcfadden having the same impact as Peterson who to me was the best rb prospect to come out in awhile(i said this before he was he drafted).Mcfadden will be great but we could get alot in return

You trade him for the 2 firsts and probably an extra 3rd or something to even out the pot (I don't think their 2 firsts are enough alone for the #6)

The options you provide are limited because they don't include trades with other teams, but I'd still be comfortable with #22 and #28. The reason being, I'm not sure there will be that many teams willing to give up two #1's this year to get to #6 and there are other good RB prospects later in the draft.

I'm not sure what we do...the draft is too unclear right now. I *like* McFadden, but I'm not crazy about him and I definitely don't think he's on AD's level as a prospect.

If he falls...we pick BPA...and not BPA as in it's Feb. 13th and McFadden is the only elite talent in the draft blah blah blah...I mean BPA post-combine, post interviews, post-Wonderlic, post every pre-draft thing basically...if we trade down then I trust this FO to know what it's doing. I'm not a huge fan of trading down though...but thats because I have nooooo clue on how this draft is gonna play out right now.

Don't feel alone. None of us have a clue, really. Even the professionals don't have a clue... look at all the busts over the years. The best any of us can do is put on the blindfold, spin around, and pin the tail on the donkey.

Trade down for three or four draft picks later on.

Like any of the 5 teams ahead of us would pass on that trade.

Come on guys. McFadden won't be there at 6, and if he is we will not be taking him.

He is as good, maybe better as a PROSPECT, he is a better receiver, and doesn't have the injury concerns Peterson did when he was coming out, in terms of speed I'd say they are equal.

Will he have as good of a rookie season as AD? I doubt it.

I think/though Peterson has a stronger center of gravity and is shiftier than McFadden.

Will players picked in the 22nd and 24th slot have a stronger impact than getting a certified pass-rusher? Chris Long, Gholston and Sedrick Ellis, individually, are better than what we can pluck from the Cowboys's first round picks.

For all the people saying it CAN'T happen, what about Fargas being resigned in Oaktown, that pushes all but Atlanta out of the running for McFadden.

I say he COULD fall to 6 and I say we'd be fools not to take him there. We are a team that lacks game breakers. We have a good core of fundamentals, team chemistry, and discipline, but a true gamebreaker, and one that is liekly to touch the ball 20 times per game, is EXACTLY what we need. (That, and some competent linemen)

It depends. If we have secured good talent on our offensive line through the FA market, then it might be worth a shot. McFadden would then represent a weapon we would have a good chance of utililizing. If we sat back and watched all the decent offensive line talent get gobbled up by other teams and then picked up a couple of no names that have a chance of making Clarke and Clement look good, than selecting McFadden would be one of the single dumbest moves I ever saw the Jets do.

I Watched the RB preview on the NFL Network and they show-cased McFadden’s pros and con's and to tell you the truth, this guy doesn’t look like an Adrian Peterson by any means what so ever. I used Adrian because HE is a phenom. They showed McFadden lumbering down field and he had one speed. Picking this guy up would be a big waste unless we knew of another teams desire to have him (Obviously I chose # 3)

Dallas isn't trading Barber. I don't know why people keep bringing his name up. Why would they trade arguably the most punishing RB in the league who is in his prime for an unproven (@the nfl level) college kid? You just don't do that.

I would prefer the trade option, but believe we should get more than there first two picks.

I prefer we reach for a fat guard that nobody ever heard at 6 so we can give either Chad or Clemens enough time to throw a 5 yard slant.

As much as I would love to have Marion Barber on the Jets, we just don't need him. The better move to make would be to trade down for both of Dallas' first round picks and a 3rd rounder, or something equivelant. Then, do what the Giants did and take a RB in the sixth or seventh round who has some potential and some speed and could make for a good high reward / low risk kind of project like Ahmad Bradshaw turned out to be.

Jones / Washington as our 1-2 punch is FINE.

You guys are crazy, there is not even a slim chance of McFadden going to the Jets. Even if he is there at 6, there is no way in hell Tangini makes that pick. We have so many holes elsewhere.

And tell me please guys, why the heck would the Falcons pass on McFadden?
