One of the threads recently posted got me thinking about this, and inspired me to ask this question. I think do to the long wait that us jet fans have had, we're hungrier for a SB, therefore the celebration will be crazier, and last longer. But will it be bigger in the amount of people that will show? All I know is that I live in Miami, if by that time I'm not living back in NY, I'll definitely do my best to be there.
I was tempted to go with smaller seems how half of us will be just too hungover to go, or just plain dead..
When the Jets win the Superbowl each person on the entire board gets to kick Champ square in the nuts. (provided they have descended)
It'll be smaller I think. More Jets fans live outside the city proper at this point than Giants fans. That's mainly because the Giant's season ticket list is dominated by Manhattanites and always has been. The Jet's fans were Queens and Long Islanders, along with some from each of the other boroughs but Big Blue has always been 110th street and down in Manhattan. Obviously both teams have a large following in New Jersey also at this point, but the Giants are better tied to New York City and the Jets kind of straddle it between Hempstead and the Meadowlands.
I think it would be a crazy outpouring of emotion, like when the Rangers won. All those years of pain and doubt coming out. The Giants last one was 1991, please. In the meantime, there's this:
I had something to say, but then I saw the animated GIF Italian Seafood posted. I think long suffering fans wouldn't miss a chance to go to a championship parade, even if they have to take a day off from work. I would expect Jets fans to make a bigger showing.
Jesus ; Doggie porn? A ticker tape parade is a ticker tape parade. I do Think the After Party will go on for Days.
The parade will obviously be much smaller owing to the fact that by that time, all of lower manhattan will be under water.
I'll be long dead so it really doesn't matter to me. By the time the Jets win a SB, we'll have flying cars ala "5th Element"... I guess we'll have a flying parade to celebrate!!!
If the Jets or the Ny Bricks ever win the big one it will be the biggest parade in the History of the City!
