According to the New York Post, Bob Sutton will remain as the Jets DC. http://www.nypost.com/seven/01312008/sports/giants/sutton_likely_to_remain_with_jets_343400.htm
That was the flimsiest of flimsy reports. Maybe I'm just saying that because I desperately want Sutton gone, but I'll believe it when Mangini says it.
Maybe we can hire the pats equipment manager or the dude who tapes everyone’s feet and he can smuggle a more current copy of Belli’s playbook out of Foxborough; that’s all we need. Well...that and a few washed up has been linemen who never did anything from the CFL. Only bad thing is – getting some new scapegoats squirmen Herman style may have prolonged Manduhhs tenure in NY.
Is it the same situation as Herm Pushing the Tampa Two when donnie was here and it didint pan out all that well . Is sutton seeming to look inept but its the system and players he has to work with?
Considering how the defense the last two seasons got better after the bye week, [reportedly because Mangini took over the play calling] this doesn't make sense. Either the articles were wrong about Mangini making the play calling, or i hope to god we have a bye week in week 3.
i don?t buy it. The market for Coaches hasn?t even opened really, yet. And we already decided to keep the guy around, we initially wanted to get rid of? They say we wanted Ryan, but the Mummie said he doesn?t let him go and now we stick with Sutton? Noone even knows what?s going on in Oakland. They don?t even have a point, why he stays other than "a source said he?s going nowhere"
First, the article is written from Scotsdale, AZ. It is probably some two-bit reporter who has clinged onto some dribble from one of the Giants players. I would put about as much stock in the value of this article as our chances of winning the next 2 Super Bowls in a row.
QFT. That and who cares...whether Sutton is good or bad is purely speculation by fans anyway. We have no idea whats going on with that defense. All we all really do know is that the DL is too small, we need a legit pass rusher, and our secondary has the chance to be very, very good soon. As far as whose in control....who knows.
Hooray! Another top-5 draft pick! I get it now. We're going with the Lions' method of rebuilding! Anyway, as has already been said, when I hear it from a credible source, I'll believe it. Actually, until I see an article with either Manigni or Tannenbaum saying it, I will chalk it up to speculation. Didn't Canofbizzaro say Herm wasn't going anywhere also?
I don't get it... he did to alot better toward the end of the season and I guess it is encouraging that we aren't taking the one and done approach. Who else is out there anyway?
