The San Diego Union Tribune reports that the Saints and Chargers will face off at Wembley Stadium in London on Oct. 26 next season.

Saints fans can't be pleased they are losing a home game, but this matchup should be far more entertaining than the Giants-Dolphins slogfest last season. The game will take place in Week 8, and both teams will have a bye the next week. Jan. 27 - 1:45 pm et

Should be a good game compared to this year's game.

    Receives* Oops. :)

That should just be awesome for the Chargers players who will be playing in a time zone 8 hours different than their homes.

Maybe the NFL will schedule a Pats-Phins game in New Zealand

What I don't understand I why the NFL schedules terrible games to play in foreign countries, I mean c'mon first it was 49ers Cardinals in Mexico City and then Anyone vs. The Dolphins in London. They need to at least do Jaguars Colts or something that represents two good teams. I realize the NFL doesn't want to risk having everyone thrown off for a huge game (like Pats-Colts this November) what wouldn't it make more sense to give a game with some potential to be interesting to another nation if you're looking to expand?

The NFL should really focus on Canada and Mexico..Maybe even PR or South America.

im not really certain of the point in having 1 game a year in foreign countries, we cant possibly put teams in those countries, because travel alone would outweigh any benifets. Also there is the obvious drain that cross atlantic flight has on a team. And the London squad would be on the road 8 weeks a year. and the single game takes away a home game for one teams fans. in this case a NO team which had enough trouble as it was....

Certain cities outside the US make sense. San Juan and the Phins, Toronto and the Lions or Bills

The problem is a lot of cities can't give up home games. They signed leases that they have to play 10 home games a year in new or old stadiums. I don't have a list but only certain teams can get out of a home game.

How about Patriots vs. Dolphins in Baghdad? Then drop an A-Bomb by accident...of course by accident...yeah accident, hopefully if it did happen it lands right on Jason Taylor's whining ass melon.

I really don't see the point of these games at all. Titilation for overseas fans at the expense of..........oh yes the original homebase fans. Good call Goodall
If the NFL wants to reach more fans and promote its product , then going with a season ticket is a much better idea.
The only game that should be played outside the US are the preseason games (maybe) or how about the totally useless probowl???

Yeah I was pretty pumped and then felt hugely let down.

Yes I would feel differently if say the Jets and Phins were playing and the Jets were the home team (for example) and the Jets FANS had the majority of tickets , LIKE a proper home game , then the rest released to DOLPHIN fans , so it was a PROPER NFL game. Yes that might change my opinion.

But the fact is , these aren't our teams , we are fans of a sport that is not hugely popular in this country , most people still don't get and will turn up to these events for the spectacle rather than the game, you only had to look at the crowd there all in different jerseys. Yeah they were having fun , good for them , but that is not for me and do not think its right to yank someones team across the pond to 'perform'.
Whilst the likes of the Glaziers and our very own Woody may own the team , they don't own the Fans, the owners are mere custodians of the club , and if they think this is the right way forward for their fans team , ask them! See what they say. Do you want to lose 1 home game next season? You know what the answear would be don't you?
