Felix Jones is going to the NFL too, I think this is the 8th JR RB to come out and all of them are possible Day One picks. There are going to be a few dropping to day 2 im sure. It almost looks better now that the Jets can't get McFadden, they could surely pick up one of these guys in the 2nd, 3rd, or maybe even 4th round.

That's nice and all, but who cares? The Jets don't need a RB!

    draft 1

Thomas jones is 30 we can get a young 22 year old guy in round 3 or 4 that can come in and take his place.

I mean this is crazy out of all 8 who declared there all really talented and some (felix jones) would most likely be a 1st rounder

Felix Jones reminds me of Kenneth Davis. There is a unique quality to his running style.
Although he was with the Bills, I did enjoy watching him play.
Also, like Davis with the Bills, the past two season Jones backed up a big time RB.
I expect Jones to be a quality back in the NFL.

    seriously?

I thought that this was one of the thinest drafts in years , the only quality palyers there seems to be an abundance of is (ironically) offensive linemen

There are at least 10 good RB's who have declared.

  8. Felix Jones is extremely explosive to the hole...he doesnt have the outside speed or big play ability of his older teammate..but he has a chance to be a very good, fast workhorse type running back.

Felix Jones is the same age as McFadden and he does have big play ability and great outside speed. Jones would've been an outstanding starter on any other team.

Jones breaks off plenty of big runs. The Razorback coaches wouldn't have used Jones in as a return specialist if he didn't have great speed and big play ability.

Yeah, I thought Jones was known for his outstand speed.

Yeah...you're right. I have no idea what that guy is talking about saying Jones doesn't have outside speed or big play ability. He's a scary player when he touches the ball. Arkansas and Petrino are losing their entire offense with Jones and McFadden leaving.

Felix Jones and CJ Spiller of Clemson were both used in similar ways during the past two seasons. They're both explosive being belief.

  12. I'm comparing him to Mcfadden. I'm saying he is a great back..but doesnt have the same outside speed Mcfadden has(very few do). But that he maybe a better workhorse type.

...yeah, you don't know what you're talking about. Felix Jones is more of a workhorse than Darren McFadden? Felix Jones doesn't have big play ability?

McFadden is the better player, and Run DMC got more carries while the two were at Arkansas. You can't call Jones a workhorse back when he was used as a spell back for McFadden during his entire career with the Razorbacks.

Jones may not have the power of McFadden, but Jones can break off HUGE runs and he proved that during his career.

  14. Yeah..i think i DO know what im talking about. Why are you so protective of Jones anyway?

WHat I'm saying is that he DOES have big play ability..but not on the same level as Mcfadden. I'm making NFL PROJECTIONS..which is not completely based on what happened in game situations at Arkansas.Something you either have no idea about...or are too far up Jones arse to acknowledge.

Of course Jones backed up Mcfadden at Arkansas...mcfadden was the upper classman..and was considered the higher profile player. Jones is a slightly more compact runner, and again, better between the tackles..therefore I see him as a good workhorse type..while I see Mcfadden on the next level as more of a home run threat feature back.

    Anything else?

Felix Jones and Darren McFadden are the SAME age. McFadden IS the better player out of the two, and that's why he got more carries and playing time. It wasn't because he was an "upper classman". You see, you have no idea what you're talking about.

NFL projections are fine...I also see Jones being a feature back on an NFL team, but you can't call him more of a workhorse than McFadden, when McFadden has twice as many carries throughout his career.

    You wanna try to again?

I think McFadden will bust and Felix Jones will end up being the better runningback when they get drafted.

Assuming McFadden doesn't fall to us in the first, although unlikely I would love to see Jones drop to our pick in the second.

There are so many great running backs that are going to be around for our second rounder. I just don't see a running back being selected.

Mendenhall and Jones are two guys that COULD be around for our second rounder. Ray Rice, Tashard Choice, Chris Johnson, Jamaal Charles, Mike Hart, Kevin Smith, Steve Slaton, and Matt Forte will probably all be selected between round 3-5.
