Parcells Drafted Chad. I do not think he would make the same mistake twice. They are rebuilding so why go with an aging veteran. Parcells is basically a legend and if he says it will take three years to fix he will have the leeway to do it without the fans starting a mutiny after one bad season. In other Cities you can rebuild and not have to retool to please impatient fans so Chad will not be going there. In the event that the Dolphins would want him I would get whatever we can for him before we get nothing!

He could be a stop gap player to keep the fans interested while Parcells builds the team. Sort of like Bledsoe was for Romo. If CP plays poorly, the the future starts a little sooner depending on if they pick a QB. Parcells like smart QB's and so far Beck and Lemon haven't looked that great. I saw a list of the top free agent QB's, Rexxy heads the list.........

The problem is we would have to bring a QB to compete with clemens to be the starter and there isnt much out there. You wouldnt be so happy with pennington gone if rex grossman is our starter on opening day

I would rather have Grossman starting than Pennington. Yeah, I said it.

I would rather have Grossman or Culpepper starting than Pennington! I would rather have Kerry Collins or Vinny back!

Chad's not going to Miami. They don't have anything on that roster that would support his style of play, and Parcells is too shrewd to make a stupid move like that.

I would love this. Would guarantee us two wins a year. Not only is Chad's play suspect, but our defense would know his tendencies inside/out giving us an even bigger advantage. As long as Chad leaves I am OK, though.

I highly doubt you are serious about that. And if you are, that is sad.

I'm dead serious. Grossman is a guy that has all the tools if someone can harness them and teach him to play smart. When he's good he's real good, when he's bad he's real bad. Is it possible to get rid of the bad? I don't know, maybe, but there is at least potential in Grossman. Playing smart can come with experience.

Penny is toast and I don't want to see him as the Jets starter ever again. I wouldn't mind seeing him as our backup if he took a pay cut though.

Penny is not going anyplace, he'll be the starter for the Jets come september because no way in hell does Clemens beat him out in training camp.

Sounds about right. Then we'll have to start a "In From The Ledge" forum for some of the users here.

He might not come in and be 1998 Vinny right away, but I do see that happening in Rex's career at some point. They're like the same player, minus a little italian.

Don't worry, that won't be started if he is traded.

:rofl2: This place is going to be a riot if he gets back in the saddle next season. Meltdowns galore. There is a good possibility Chad could start again next year. Like it or not it could happen. I predict the Suicide Hotline will need to outsource some phone operators. :drunk:

You people cannot possibly be taking this seriously....

I trust Tannenbaum saying Chad will be back next year over this.

That will be awesome. We'll have to get Steve Somers on here, he's good with that kind of thing.
