I'd take anything over the scrap we have now at offensive coordinator.

our offense was adequate 2yrs back even without a running game, I think they got a bit too fancy this season with the silly Brad Smith QB running plays that everyone knows is coming. They probably just need to simplify the offense and stop trying to be so cute.

I kno they tried to e fancy sometimes but really like when i watched the games sometimes all the run plays looked the same and if it was cp or kc at qb it didnt matter it was all hitches, curls, n outs

Really. I'd say the continuity of going into our third year in the same system across the board should be an advantage for us. This will be the third off season for this regime to get guys to fit their system, the system can remain undisturbed, it's worth a shot. When you bring new guys in everyone has to then re-adjust and learn all new shit. We either have a long range plan and a program or we don't.

There's only so much you can do with Vince Young, who I believe was rushed and as a result, makes poor decisions with the football. Moreover, there is a dearth of upper tier quality at the receiver position. While some of those guys have solid upside, none of them are there yet.

Bear in mind they play in a division with a very good Jacksonville and a very good Indianapolis defense. I don't think Chow should have been fired.

I think he'll probably go back to the college game, but I don't think he's a terrible coach. Personally, I don't recall any Jeff Fisher team ever having an explosive offense, no matter who was in charge.

yeah i agree with seafood, i think if the staff can remain intact, unless we can upgrade immensly with a coordinater, we should keep the system safe. Also i feel like if we could get Rex Ryan to be our DC it has to happen. And say we bring in Callahan to be the RB/OL/assistant coach job, we need to do that as well...

The WCO is everywhere. It's impossible to kill. It's found its way into every offense in the league somehow.

Those that woke up one morning, rolled out of bed, and decided the WCO was a good idea to implement into an offense, is not someone I want running our offense. Ever again. Not even kidding.. I dont think I have ever seen somone on these boards that were in favor of the WCO. Honestly.. Maybe I am just blind.

The Jets change coordinators as quickly as I change my socks.Seems like every year someone clamors for the hot coordinator. As I recall not that long ago Norm Chow was the second coming of Bill Walsh. Now he's fired. As long as the head coach has faith in his asistants I say keep them. Now in the Jets case it is apparent that Sutton is on the hot seat after Mangini took over the defense after the bye.
