even if they still wanted to try and an ace pitcher, would anyone have a problem with them signing Bartolo Colon, while they continue to try and make a trade? Whats the worst colon can do for the mets? If he can't pitch anymore then we'll just have him eat jimmy rollins.

Another quiet disappointing offseason... and unlike this time last year, I don't trust Manaya with what he's doing anymore.

well, the worst signing colon could do is give an excessive number of starts to a guy that is pitching far far below league average, at the same time blocking younger and most likely better pitchers from getting a chance to pitch at the major league level, because he's a "name" that the mets liked 8 or 9 years ago.

    ^This.

I don't have enough faith in Willie or Minaya to go by his current performance rather than how he was a few years ago.

Cubs have traded Angel "Sicknote" Pagan to the Mets for RHP pitcher Ryan Meyers and OF Corey Coles.

Pagan is a borderline Major League player. Always hurt. How about the guys we're getting?

Pagan was a Mets farmhand before the Cubs Rule 5'd him, if my memory serves.

Okay, that has to be a bad angle, or as MSU said, he has to have gained 50 pounds.

In his defense im not sure how much you can work out while you recover from your shoulder being almost torn in half. The recovery most likely includes countless hours of down time, so he was may have been on the couch watching his team suck donkey boner in the month of september.

Fine, but do you think that it's a requirement that if you can't work out you have to gain 50 pounds? How about, you know, eating less?

I'm not saying he's Pedro Martinez thin, but that seem like a deceiving pic due to the angle and the fact that he's arching his back. These pics are from Adam Rubin's story on Sanchez on 11/25

He's isn't rail thin (never was), but he isn't anything close to Eddie Guardado either.
