...but will Ben Graham punt for the jets again? I hope so. That new guy sucks on holds and they just signed Ben for a big extension. He was a huge reason why I am a Jets fan and altho I wont stop supporting them, id be disappointed if they let him go. Surely just coz he has had the odd bad punt, they can sack him for that?

Ben Graham has been horrible this season...and if you're a Jets fan just because of a PUNTER then you must not be a football fan.

    Graham should be cut.

The Eagles have an Aussie punter too...they need fans.

CHances are we have seen the last of Ben Graham in a Jets uniform. He has really had a horrible year, punters cannot have a year like Ben had this year and expect to have a job.

Give him a break... The Jets got a lot of really great Australian fans when they acquired Graham..... Who cares why someone became a fan?

I always thought Ben had a big leg... Could punt the ball 60 even 70 yards sometimes??? What happen? Let him go back and play rugby because he is not an NFL Punter, or just keep him on the team as a holder or something...

Either way... I fell for the Aussie spin on the ball hype

They may be sending him a message. It may be nothing more than that. He better figure out what's wrong and fix it though.

Oh, and I think there was someone else who said the guy we had can't spot a football for a field goal kick. Nada. The holds were fine. Nugent came over the top on the kick, much like a golfer and he hooked it. It is all on Nugent for missing and tippifies why we have lost a lot of close games this year. Not because of Nugent, but because somebody always fails to execute at the pro level when they are really called upon to do so at a critical time in the game - it happend so many times this year.

well, i did say i wont stop supporting them so that obviously means ive become a fan of the game more now and really enjoy watching it. And yes, he has drawn many aussie fans both here in the states and back home. i live in brooklyn so get to see them alot.

anyway, ill watch this move closely and i agree, the punter position is the least of our worries but id still like to see him punt for us as he has a lot to offer, its his only bad few games of his career so i hope he gets another go. But the nfl is a tough league, make a few errors and you could be looking for a new job.

on a personal note, his wife just had a kid, they may look to stay in ny for the kids sake (schools etc) but it could mean a trip back home.

He should be gone. He was a nice story and a decent punter at times, but he was too inconsistent throughout his time with the Jets.

Well if we're going to have an offensive offense we need a good punter.

It is true that our offense put Graham's foot through a lot of punishment this year. Maybe his foot got a bit puffy and sore.

I am American. I actually know about football and I don't watch games to see a damn punter.

When your team is punting, it means that the offense sucks. I hate punters, and it doesn't help having a terrible punter come in after a horrible offense. Graham and the offense put so much pressure on the defense this season.

You're an embarrassment to Americans, but thanks for posting.

Lincoln had a saying. It was better to be silent and thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt. You should work on your history and watch less football.
