Good to see Leon and Kerry Rhodes at least made it on as alternates.

Kerry definitely deserved to stat though, in my opinion.

Rhodes derserved to start again just like last year. No bias but right now Bob Sanders is the only safety playing with more impact the Rhodes. I love Ed Reed and he is the best safety in the league but he shouldnt have gotten in before vilma. I hope palumula gets hurt or something 52 tackles no sacks no picks he's overrated.

It is nice that somebody at least gave them some kind of recognition; being alternates sounds like we are in the PGA, though.

Well, Vilma was an alternate when he appeared in his first Pro Bowl.... Maybe we'll see Rhodes in Hawaii this year

Having Mangold mentioned in the same breath as All-Pro is good. For offensive linemen the slots are given out for life.

Not a third alternate though...that'd mean 3 guys out've Reed, Sanders, Polamalu, & the two guys ahead of him would have to get hurt.

Rhodes 3rd? That's not respect, he should be on the team. He's got 5 picks for crying out loud, Polamalu doesn't have 1. And Leon has had a better season than Cribbs.

I'll give you Rhodes but come on Rob , Leon should not be going ahead of Cribbs. Cribbs is having a huge impact on a playoff team while Leon is one of the lone brigt spots on a 3 win team. To say Leon is having a better year than Cribbs in ridiculous

    Leon Punt Returns 17 172 0 0 10.1
    Leon KR 42 1186 3 0 28.2 1837

    Cribbs Punt Returns 24 243 0 0 10.1
    Cribbs KR 53 1637 2 0 30.9 1966

You can't base it on the fact that Leon has 3 returns, They are pretty even and the big difference is Cribbs plays on a good team vs Leon's bad team.

As far as 3rd alternate it just shows how stupid the PB is. Mangold is the best C in the AFC right now and he deserves better than what he is getting.

It's not ridiculous at all, but I view it as a toss up. Cribbs has a slightly better KO return average (PR average is identical) but that is largely because teams stopped kicking to Leon (until NE) right around the Pittsburgh game.... He's had so few opportunities since the Bye week, and, by eeking a couple yards out of squib kicks and high, short kicks, he's killed his average....

I didn't watch the Buffalo game, but I had watched Cleveland's last 3, and teams are willingly kicking to Cribbs....

Before teams started kicking away/squibbing kickoffs to Leon, he had an average above 32 YPR.....

It's about even, but the numbers don't tell the whole story

But if it's even would it not be ridiculous to say that Leon is having a better year tha Cribbs? Cribbs got the nod because the Browns are looking like a playoff team while the the Jets are playing the last 2 weeks and they'll be off.

So they are saying that there are 2 safeties ahead of Rhodes in addition to Reed, Sanders and Big-hair? That is ludicrous. Rhodes is no worse than third best safety in the AFC.

If the Jets won 14 games in a row by the score of 3-0 everytime, you would see must more then Nugent make the Pro Bowl. Clemens, Mangold, Coles, Baker, and D'Brick would all be starters...

Obviosuly leon's average has been hurt by the squib kicks but aren't other teams doing the sae to cribbs? I haven't seen many of the Browns games but we kicked it high and short to Cribbs and that affected his abilityt to return it against us, I asume other teams are doing thesame thing.
