    I was with my sales rep from Cleveland last week - and he seems to think that Brady Quinn to the Jets is a good possibility. Cleveland is set on resigning Derek Anderson to a long term contract (and rightly so - he's a young talented guy) - and that means Brady Quinn is the odd man out.

    We discussed a couple of scenarios. He doesn't think Cleveland will demand a #1 pick for Quinn...maybe a #2 and or something else. I suggested Vilma and he seemed to think that would be a good deal. Vilma and a late pick for Quinn.

    Quinn is the kind of kid who will not be intimidated in NY...heck, he faced more pressure at Notre Dame. He needs to work on his basics - footwork and accuracy - but he has the size and arm to succeed. He's also a hard worker and a good kid.

    What do you guys think of a Vilma for Quinn deal?

    I actually heard something similar to this last week too. Personally I don't see how it can happen because of the salary cap. But I guess it's a possibility,.

    I think I'd rather have Vilma.

    Quinn = Over rated/hyped
    Vilma = Proven MLB

    No Thank you.
    Vilma & Our Picks is much more valuable than Quinn.

    i thought about this some weeks ago. i think vilma is on his way out, he will leave next year, no matter what, and cuz we won?t compete next year, we have to trade him and move on.

    I?m not high on Quinn, but having 2 young QBs gives us more chances that one of those two will be THE guy. and if we don?t get a 1st or a high 2nd for Vilma from anyone else, this might be the best way to get something out of him.

    Glad to see you and your sales rep worked out a deal :smile:

    However, I don't by into the Quinn hype... He may be good but I just don't see it.... and to trade Vilma away for a roll of the dice is nuts IMO

    It is way too early to give up on Clemens. I don't like Quinn's makeup or arm strength.

    It is such a joke that everyone is given up on KC already. I would love to see Brady or Manning behind this OL.

    I think Cleveland is looking for a first rounder. Also The Cleveland and Jets OCs are friends so if he has looked good in Cleveland maybe they will take a chance.

    So would I. Wouldn't it be nice to be in the playoffs and have a chance to make a playoff run?

    Both Manning and Brady crumble if u get pressure on them, hell any QB does. With those 2 and solely based on their skills alone, I give this Jets team with either one, 6-7 wins.

    Yup all those close games we have been in would be losses just like they were with Chad and Clemens. Neither one of them know how to beat great defenses or pressure.

    No way....I rather keep Vilma, also I think this regime would rather deal Vilma for a draft pick IMO.

    Huh? If you're going to go and get a round 1 QB , just take one in the draft if its that much of a pressing need , which it isn't.
    Quinn is untried so to trade him for Vilma AND a pick is just ludicrous , when did Vilma suddenly become surplus to requirements? Some of you guys play too much Madden.

    This team has many, many more important needs than trying to get a deal done for Brady Quinn and anyone who is ready to toss KC out of NY knows nothing about football.

    While I don't think it's fair to judge Clemens based on a few bad games, I still do not see him as the answer. You're making it seem as if he's under pressure all the time, which isn't the case. He's been shaky even when the coverage was terrific, so I don't buy into the whole "he sucks because the OL sucks" argument.

    coles and Cotch beeing banged up and smith and mccarains playing like shit has probably much more impact on his play than the O-Line. Baker was our leading receiver on sunday.

    Right , he does need games under his belt. So far he hasn't shown good instinct and throws for me.
    When he earns respect , he will get it in truck loads , until then he has to be more studious

    If KC had the same amount of time that Brady has to throw the football, we would not be having this discussion.
