I was surprised to see the NFL's official site touting the 'Revenge Factor' of the Jets-Pats game. It was the NFL that found the Patriots guilty of breaking league rules and fined them heavily, yet the Patriots will be looking for revenge against the Jets. I expect this perspective from the regular media, but not from the NFL's site. It's like the principal of a school punishing the school bully, and then putting up a notice about how the bully will be out for revenge the next time he meets the kid who shopped him. It just seems a little warped to me...
It's all about the benjamins' Just like when the NFL fines a player for a Vicious hit then uses it in it's hilight reels.....
knuckleheads I've told you guys this before; the NFL did not want to hear one team ratting out another. Mangini opened a can of worms that no one wanted opened. The JETS (and rat Mangini) forced the NFL's hand, so now the NFL actually wants to see the PATS bukakke the JETS tomorrow. They don't want rats in the league. Right now the Jets are equated with ratting out another team and that is just never good. After this year - when Mangini gets fired - the NFL will allow the Jets back into the old boys network.
Straight from the NFL front offices. You heard it here, not first, but for the 1,000th time by Pats bandwagon fans trolling!ats_suck:
O'rly... What about the Lions, Packers, Redskins & Ravens who all complained to the league LAST SEASON about the video taping? And what seems to be getting forgotten about is the bullshit with the radios cutting out and the use of extra signals.... and once again... the NFL caught Belichick not the Jets... But you're right about one thing... no one likes rats.... that's probably the reason your "favorite team for the moment" is despised by everyone outside of the media... now go upstairs.... you're mommy's calling you to pick up the dog shit in the backyard before the snow comes
You know, IF we do end up losing to the Pats as far fetch as that might seem ,wouldn't it be reallt fuckin hilarious if the Fins beat the pats and ruined their Boston tea party?
The only trolling that is acceptable at this time of year is that of the ancient yuletide carol. Kindly limit yourself to that.
So I assume you wanted your own head coach fired after he went 5-11 in his 2nd season. Oh wait, you probable weren't a fan when they were losing.
Well let me tell you this. I would prefer to lose and hold my head up high knowing that my coach and team played by the rules and stood by principle , which is so obvious that thats a moral which you don't hold true. The 'old boys network' can keep their corrupt ways and start looking over their collective ugly diseased shoulders.
Jets started SPYGATE Jets started the "cheating": BY RICH CIMINI DAILY NEWS SPORTS WRITER Saturday, December 15th 2007, 4:00 AM It just won't die. Patriots coach Bill Belichick said Friday the Jets never requested permission to use an extra video camera in last season's playoff game in Foxborough, directly contradicting Eric Mangini's explanation of the events. "I was never asked for permission nor was anyone in our video department asked for permission for a second end-zone camera," Belichick told NBCSports.com. Evidently, someone isn't telling the truth. Mangini, responding to published reports Wednesday that said a Jets cameraman was stopped from taping, said the team received approval from the Patriots to shoot from both end zones. The Patriots never filed a complaint with the NFL about last January's incident, and the league isn't investigating the matter. Spokesman Greg Aiello said this week there are "no restrictions on shooting from both end-zone positions as long as the opportunity is provided to both teams." Mangini said the Jets haven't requested a second end-zone camera for tomorrow's game in New England because he "didn't think it would be granted." The playoff incident was believed to be the second video dispute between the two rivals. There also was an incident in September 2006, at the Meadowlands, where the Jets stopped a Patriots cameraman for what they felt was illegal taping. Nothing came of that incident. The third and most famous dispute occurred in Week 1, when the Patriots were busted for illegally taping the Jets' coaches with a sideline camera. It marked the "SpyGate" cheating scandal, resulting in severe penalties against Belichick and the Patriots.
He doesn't have it and - soon - without a job at the pro level (Mangini will be lucky to be coaching pop warner next year) he can't afford that fine.
