I was just playin around on NFL.com and I looked at the AFC tackle stats for linebackers. I'm not 100% sure because I didn't click on every player, but I am pretty positive that Bryan Thomas has the least amount of tackles for any linebacker that has started every game. It is so comical to me that Vilma hasn't played since Week 7 and still has more tackles than BT. BT needs to be released, especially after his performance against the Browns. I can't stand watching him play anymore. I hope I eat my words this weekend and he sacks Brady 3 times, but I just don't see that happening. Thought you fellow BT haters might get a kick out of that pathetic stat.
Well he isn't getting released since we signed him to a big contract. Hobson stinks as well and as we all know in a 3-4 system you need the LB's to get pressure on the qb. It's bad when your ILB Harris has more sacks then Thomas and he didn't even start the 1st half of the year.
Yeah good call, I just noticed that. I am little disappointed by Barton's numbers too. I mean so many people from this site got on Vilma, but Barton is the other ILB and he only has 62 total tackles this season so far. I really think Vilma playing next to Harris will make a lethal combo. I think we have 2 of 4 LBs needed to be a great defense. Add suggs in the offseason and use a 2nd rounder to draft another, I think we'll be in good shape for 2008.
everyone on our defense sucks except harris, rhodes, revis and kenyon coleman and abram elam are decent not surprising that thomas, hobson and bartons stats blow...i think patrick kerney might have more sacks than our whole team
Oh and another thing..i am not sure if he feels some sort of loyalty to Chatham for coming to the Jets, but I can't stand that mangini plays this loser. He is SOOOOO bad and never makes a single play. Let us Madden players coach for a week seriously.
I'm with you 100% on Chatham.... I swear, Chatham always seems to replace Barton when we REALLY need a stop, and they always go RIGHT at him (be it a run or a pass) and he ALWAYS gets beat... He makes me furious
