Jason Taylor is one of the few exceptions...much like a Dilfer-type QB winning the super bowl is an exception. Besides I was talking about player to player, not player to fan. Most players don't hate the players on the other team. Even if they get beat by forty. A part from not wanting anyone to get hurt, over half the players know that they could get cut at anytime and don't want to scratch a potential employer of the list.
All you guys picking on the poster that started this thread get back to me after a Dlineman rolls up on Clemens. (Jarvis Green...Chad Pennington...Lost season...) Wait and Watch for someone to get down below the QB's knees...
I'm calling shenanigans! Brady goes down for good... I know damn well I will have a smile on my face! It'll be even bigger if it happens when he has 48 TD's.
i could careless what happens to the pats. the new england area has had everything go right for the past 4 months. its time for brady's leg to snap like a toothpick. if its because shaun ellis goes low on him so be it. the whole new england region needs some adversity
Here's the thing about Tom Brady that I think makes people want him to be injured: He never gets injured. For the past 8 years I have watched this asshole bounce up from bone-jarring hits without even a limp or checking any extremities. And the P-shoulder nonsense was just like a slap in the face for that fact. It doesn't seem fair that the vast majority of players, QBs in particular, are all plagued by some form of injury or another at some point in their careers. And if someday Brady does have an injury, one that makes him miss more than a set of downs and one that does not result from some kind of a cheap shot, I certainly will have a justified smile on my face. Not because he is injured, but because I will know he is not a robot sent back from the future to destroy the NFL.
Exactly. Then again, these are the same assholes who cheered an injury to our own QB, so what do you expect? I want to beat them how we beat them last year, knock Brady to the turf on the last play as he's trying to throw a desperation pass. What's the point of putting him out for the year? We're not going anywhere and we don't play them again until next year. Why tarnish our team?
also, his o line is notorious for holding etc,and people alse hate how he throws a tantrum for a flag every time a pass is incomplete.
Well, a big part of him never getting hurt, is the fact that he is rarely touched.... It's reached an extreme level this year, but he's never been sacked much.... I'd assume if he were getting hit hard 6-10 times a game, he may suffer the same fate as every other QB on bad teams...
With our luck the Jets will injure Brady and Cassel will come in and play lights out, setting the Pats up to grab another high draft pick by shipping him out to some sucker in dire need of a QB. (like the Jets)
To protect the sanity of anyone who isn't a Patriot fan in NE. Brady out for the year = no Super Bowl = me happy cause he'll finally have time to spend with his bastard children.
Career ending injuries are part of football -- and I don't wish them on ANYone, I wish them on The Patriots.
He's been healthy the past two years and New England hasn't won. But go ahead and cheer for an injury, you fit nicely on this fucking board full of classless idiots.
First we have the cheering for Kellen Clemens when Chad Pennington just faught for his life just to hobble off the damn field, then we have the throwing beer on a girl who would not show her boobs, now we have fans wishing an injury upon another player? Wow... WHats next for us Jet fans? Pathatic...
Ok I will. New Yorkers/New Jerseans will never understand it but w/e. It's not like it has never happened to the Jets(1999, 2003, & 2005). An injury is probably the only thing that is going to prevent the Pats from going 19-0 and if that what it takes then I'll root for it besides the coach is a d-bag. Class is thrown out the window when you deal with an organization like this.
