I just checked and no, it is in fact not a Super Bowl of any kind. Way to go on scaring off the maybe Japanese person too.
If you know the her personally, then you have room to talk....we had our suspicions...its not like we gave her hell, we just said we didn't believe her... if she was in fact Japanese, she ran off a little quick...not like she would have made it much longer here anyway, she woudl have bailed the first time someone made fun of her... knowing how we usually end up treating people on this board...so please, no pointing fingers. It wasn't intentional if in fact Sayuki was Japanese...
Relax I was kidding, thats why I said the "maybe" Japanese person. I always forget that sarcasm doesn't really play well on the internet.
Man this would be one of the greatest sports victories of all time..... .. well, for me.... Just keep it close....
I'll be thrilled if the Jets can get by the pats with a win, but with all honesty for me the highlight of this crappy season was Laying the smack down twice on those crappy dolphins. And I'll be even happier if they would go winless, that would certainly trump there '72 perfect season bragging rights. You don't understand the war us Jet fans have with these sorry dolfans here in Miami.
Ohh c'mon now... two wins against the gill-netted Dolphins can't compare to the rug you pulled out from Big Ben and his moley face.
Inside the NFL Did anyone see Collinsworth's "Pregame Speech" as Mangini? It was awesome... I can't find any video of it yet... but here's the summation... Carter did the Bellichick speech which as lame... Then Collinsworth as Mangini... from what I can remember... "Men... we have no chance to win this game... but you know what? I don't care about the score... cuz we're not here to win... we're here to hit... I want you to go out there in hit anything that moves... I want you to hit them so hard all game that they'll feel it next week.... If anyone goes for an INT instead of a hit I'll cut you on the spot and find someone who will... Moss better not catch one ball over the middle without feeling it... in fact I want him out of the game by the 1st quarter.... in fact the if the Patriots Dr's aren't on the field at least 5 times during the game I'm gonna cut everyone... I don't care it the score's 100 - 0 we're gonna hit them all day... we're gonna blitz all day... I'll blitz 4, then 5 and if that's not enough I'll blitz 11 until they're sick of getting hit... and if my some miricle we win this game... I'm gonna take the game ball and march it out to midfield and hand it to Belichick and say, 'Here. Stick that one in your trophy case coach!" That's the best I can remember it... but it was phucking great... I'm gonna record it tonight... it's definately worth another watch...
LOVE IT! If we can take them to the 4th Qtr without getting stomped we will have proven everyone wrong!
I have been trying to tell my older brother for weeks now that this game vrs the Pats will be our Superbowl! Will we win? Maybe not... But thats what we all thought about the Steelers game. Can we win? Anything can happen. With Kellen on his game, Thomas Jones rushing the ball solid, Coles and Cotchery playing with alot of heart, and the key is for our O-Line with Brick and Mangold to try and contain the Patriots D-Line and be ready for the Blitz at all time. I feel BB will try and pressure Kellen all game for the simple fact he is still a 1st year starter. DONT LET MOSS BEAT US DEEP when we are on Defense... And we need to key in on Wes Welker because Brady loves going to this guy on quick pass plays. All I can say is this... I will be rooting for the Jets like it's a playoff game, me and my older bro will throw down on a BBQ and try and get as drunk as possible so this game dont hurt as much if we lay a goose egg. Go Jets
That's key... If they're going to rack up 50+ points and 500 yards on us, let's make them EARN it.... Nothing over the top... Make them catch the short passes, and then make sure you punish him after the catch.... I don't care if we get beat by 80, I just want to see SOMETHING from our defenders, and a little bit of passion on both sides...
It would be, but like I have said in other posts, even if it was close to the end, the refs will be on the Pats side. The NFL already brain washed this whole year saying it would be great for the league to have the Pats go all the way. Um the refs aren't always on our side. In fact, it's usually very even. Generally the losers (or ones with a lot of calls against them) complain afterwards. And trust me, we've done that over at the Pats forum. Sometimes rightfully so (Ellis Hobbs OPI during the Colts game) but generally refs are only one-sided when deservedly so. The Ravens were rowdy and couldn't stop holding (which everyone gets away with against us) and lost it in yardage. Last week the Steelers were starting fights with us, yet we still look like the bad guys. Sometimes I don't get why the rest of the country hates us so much. Let us enjoy our season, your time will come I like the Jets, BTW
Ohh jezzuz christ! Yes... the Refs mind-melded with Rex Ryan and forced him to call a timeout. On the next play, they coerced Russ Hochstein to commit a false start... THEN, wielding their most diabolical of manipulations, they compelled the Ravens Defense to give up a 4th and 6 by allowing a Brady scramble! Brilliant!
Actually.. the refs have taken a lot of heat the past 6 years for handing the Pats a ton.... This isn't he Super Bowl for the Pats... Maybe the Refs go against them a few times in this game to make all the other stuff, in the past and in the future playoffs, look better... Maybe for one a few calls go AGAINST THE PATS... IMAGINE THAT!!!!!!! game is close.. Last minute and a call goes the Jets way.....
In a perfect world, The Jets would go down and score a go ahead TD, with less than 10 seconds on the clock. Say Jets 16 Pats 10. Kick the ensuing kickoff, down the ball on the one, with two seconds left. Then as the Pats line up to snap the ball, walk off the field, and let the Pats score 7. In the Post game, Eric would come out and say, "We know we beat them, and they know we beat them, but Don Shula has had this coming for a long time. Don, you should have covered that field, back in 83."
Honestly... that is perfect!!!! Except I'd make the score 3 - 0 ... shut em out the entire game then walk off the field and let them score.... Way to kill to birds with one stone!!:rofl2:
