I think it all started when he went to the Blue Jays. The difference between the 96 Clemens and the 97 Clemens is night and day. This totally validates Duquette!

Oh yeah, I'm really frigging surprised. A Red Sox employee finds that there are numerous Yankees who took steroids. This whole thing is a frigging joke.

I'm going to be upset, but not surprised if ARod is on the list.

I would be absolutely shocked if Derek Jeter is though. I can all but say with assurance that he's never touched the shit.

Now let's see how many Sox players made the list, and if they're even consequential to the team. Somehow I really doubt it. I smell bullshit, and it stinks worse than Staten Island in August.

How does it do that? He would have been taking them with the Red Sox if he was still there too while winning 4 more Cy Youngs.

Yeah, Mitchell really should have resigned before undertaking this. I don't know how far this goes back but I could also see Strawberry, Gooden and maybe Tino on the list too. The guy doing the selling was doing it from '95 on.

He was let go because Duquette felt Clemens was out of shape, used up, past his prime.

No he wouldn't of he sucked his last few years in Boston then all of a sudden in Toronto he's the best pitcher in baseball. His last good year in Boston was in '92(29 years old) then from '93 to '96(30 to 33) he was average at best. In 1997 and in '98(34-35) he has his best 2 years since '90 & '91(27-28).

Yeah, but then, if you are right, he got juiced. He would have just as easily gotten juiced in Boston.

I can't wait for the Yankees to have all the players in the world named, while the Mets and Red Sox have nothing because Mitchell wouldn't give up Red Sox names and Radomski wouldn't give up Mets names. Can't wait for that.

I expect one or two, but other than ortiz none of their stars fit the profile that well, except maybe lowell. The Yankees have a lot more late blooming power hitters, partially because it is who they target in Free Agency. Jeter isn't a great fit to the profile either.

Edit- expect to see a LOT of former mets btw, since that clubhouse attendant is one of the few people who fully cooperrated.

I don't know, It's very possible that the trade served as a wakeup call. I'm sure a lot of these players thought they would remain clean forever, but for one reason or another, they started using.

?????? You juice = you're better not worse, not to mention he didn't meet the guy he got the stuff from wasn't until he got to Toronto. You really can't make an argument no matter how you spin it.

Yeah, he could have just as easily done it in Boston, but he didn't. And Duquette saw an old out of shape ball player and he let him go only to get trashed in the Boston Media as an idiot while Clemens is getting Cy Young after Cy Young. Now we all know why. I would love to see when he started, but for some reason I really doubt he did it while in Boston. It is my belief that he started when he went to Toronto.

The Mets will have names on that list, I'm all but sure of it.

The Sox are who I'm keeping an eye on. I see it one of two ways:

    1) There will be no Red Sox named, which I think even the most die-hard fan would have to admit is total bullshit.

    2) It will be guys like Nixon, who are no longer with the team.

I highly doubt that ay significant Sox players will be named, while the Yankees get shredded.

Here's another thing with the Yankees: How much did Giambi blow the whistle during his little chat? Don't be surprised if he's no longer wearing pinstripes at the end of the day.

What possible reason would there be for Radomski to not give up Mets players? He hasn't worked for the team for 12 years.

You really need to stop looking for excuses about why more Yankees will be on the list than the two teams you dislike (if that's even true, of course, which no one knows, but it's obvious that's what you're doing).

As for me, the true BS test is Clemens. It has been blindingly obvious to anyone with eyes for years that he was on the juice in the late 90s and early 00s; he was a poster boy for the changes that occur, both physical and psychological.

Well Clemens on steroids involves the beaning Piazza in the head incident...and the bat throwing...and his general douchebaggery.

According to the Bergen record, no CURRENT mets will be on the list.
Bergen record:According to one industry official, "several" prominent Yankees will be named by Mitchell in his 2 p.m. news conference in Manhattan. The official, who spoke to a third party who'd seen the final report, predicted, "It's going to be a rough day in the Bronx" after the identities are made public.

No Mets from the current 40-man roster are named, according to the same source.
