Nope Nope Nope. I hate Broncos fans ,Go to a Bronco Jet game and you will too. Way worse than Patsy fans. Worse fans in football bt far are the Eagle fans
Yeah, but you'd think after making a statement like that, he'd try to adhere to it to save face..... Cracked me up when that was the first thing I saw when I logged on this morning...
I have a question for anyone here that has played the game, even if not at the pro level... Do wet/snowy/muddy/slippery conditions help the O-line, or the D-line, or neither? My guess is that it would benefit the O-line, but I would like to hear from someone who has played.
Did I start the "cheaters" campaign that was launched here at the message board? Nope. This is just sweet redemption. Give it up. You're an insecure person with the thinnest of skin.
It slows everyone down, so speed rushers on the d-line are negatively effected by poor conditions. I don't remember facing a bull rusher in mud or snow. I'm an o-lineman who has never played anywhere near the pro-level, but that is my experience.
Are you really this stupid? It's a JETS MESSAGE BOARD!!!!! You don't like it? Then go back to your Cheatriots Board and you won't have to hear it...
That was my guess. Thank you. I am thinking that the Jets would benefit from poor conditions, if anything. Assuming that the Pats have superior talent for the most part, foul or inclement weather can only help, especially given the woes of the Offensive Line that I have read about here. I expect a bull rusher would be hindered as well, although less so than a speed rusher. A bull rusher will probably end up falling to his knees or on his face more if the footing is poor.
I'd guess you're assumption is correct. Slowing the track down can only help us, but it does kind of negate our only remaining healthy big play guy on offense (Leon Washington).
If the weather is really going to be that bad you may want to jump all over that 24 1/2 point spread. They may not score 25 points combined.
I plan on it, but it already moved down to 23.5 last night. I'm guessing it will be below 20 by game time if the weather forecast is correct.
I've been an OLB at a high level for the last two years, and I can tell you that, smaller, quicker passrushers have a BIG edge when the surface is slippery.... Those BIG OTs have a lot of trouble getting out of their stance and keeping their footing in the snow.... So long as you can keep your footing as a pass-rusher (which requires lengthened cleats, even on field turf), you will have a big edge... On running plays, I'd say it's kind of a wash, as the inside guys are all kind of big... The LBs, however, have a big advantage over the OL, as it is much harder for the OL to reach the 2nd level in those kind of conditions...
Not true. Boston.com message board is inundated with Yankee trolls. It's just like this site. The obnoxious ones give everyone a bad name and disappear after their team gets beat. I just enjoy getting a look at what others think about events. I hate to say it, but the Ravens site I went to had the largest percentage of level-headed posters. This site is alot like the Boston site. 50% decent posters, 25% obnoxious homers, 25% negative types (the ones who only post when they want to bitch about their team).
The league not only approved it, they implored the Pats to do it. In fact the Colts etal had been bitching about the Pats homefield advantage because of the disgusting field conditions for years.
Wow! I never would have surmised that. I understand how important it is for an O-lineman to snap out of his stance, obviously, but I didn't think weather and footing would slow them down there. So, what you are saying is that slippery footing gives an edge to linebackers, moreso than linemen, yes? Presumably, the team with a better LB corps has an edge.
Yeah... The matchup favors the smaller players... And, yes, it should actually benefit NE, because their LBs are much better pass rushers than are ours.... I don't know the measurements for a guy like Jarvis Green, but I have met him (and actually trained with him) before, and he seems like exactly the size/speed combination who would benefit most from such conditions...
