The only thing sweeter than a Miami loss is a Miami loss to the jets in Miami. Not only are the fins winless, they should stink for several years--They already replaced their coach LAST year, so they don't really have a current scapegoat. Their two best defensive players are way past their prime, and thanks to some recent bad trades for QBs they've already cut, they have little second or third year talent. Their rookie QB (who is older than Ben Rothesberger) either holds the ball too long, or when he does throw it he confuses which team to throw it to. Even network pre-game forecasters Dan Marino and Jimmy Johnson are so totally embarrassed of their old team they don't even like the subject brought up. Suffer, fins, suffer. Sorry, guys, but I can't get the smile off my face when the jets beat the heck out of the fins. My brother-in-law used to be a ball boy for the dolphins, and I haven't heard a word out of him this year about his dolphins (and like it that way).
This would be so much cooler if the Jets weren't almost just as bad as they are. Still, I can't complain about a season sweep over the Fins, no matter what their record is. =)
Look at it this way - after being swept by a team as bad as the Jets, at least there can be no doubt about just how bad the Fins are.
Come on. The Jets are MUCH better than the Dolphins. All the really good players on our team are going to be better next year. All the really good players on the Dolphins are going to be geriatric next year. The next three years are going to be a sweet time to be a Jets fan. The next three years are going to SUCK for 'Fins fans. It's a front office thing. The Dolphins had a brilliant move to make this past off-season trading Jason Taylor and/or Zach Thomas but they balked. Instead they get rid of Chris Chambers, one of the best young wide receivers in the NFL. Our front office may have made some mistakes the past two seasons, but we have only a few pieces to fill and A LOT OF MONEY to spend. The Dolphins have an offensive line, a great, IR running back and some old dudes.
Agree. The Phins are a franchise in total disarray. The Jets will be much better much sooner then the Phins will. There's a definite youth movement going on here, and the youth has talent. The Phins have a huge question mark at QB, and as stated the D is old and it looks like they mailed it in against the Jets yesterday. I won't even start on the coaching and FO.
There is also a tremendous irony building. The Dolphins will hold the record for the only undefeated team in history at 17-0 (unless NE joins them at 19-0) and they may also hold the record for the only team to go 0-16.
We’re so awesome that the phins count for two of our three wins this season. But three wins gives you allot more momentum going into the offseason; way better…man I’m psyched…good post.
